Now retired from being a princess, Luna is free to pursue her interests: Chief among them reading. So imagine her surprise when she stumbles across a book written by none other than Stygian, a book specifically recounting the story of his past as The Pony of Shadows.

Naturally, Luna is quite intrigued by such a story and feels that she has a connection with the former scholar. So she decides to pay him a visit and have a little chat.

Stygian, for his part, is always thrilled to talk with fans of his work. But little does he suspect that Luna and him will share in some very personal feelings, feelings about the past and how it can shape one's present and future. As well as what it truly means to have once been "evil".

This story is a sequel to Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Connection

Ever since finding out that Daring Do is her aunt, Rainbow Dash has been trying to think of how to get her mom and her aunt to patch things up. She eventually decides the holiday of Hearth's Warming is the perfect opportunity to do so.

After some convincing, Rainbow manages to persuade Daring to come and visit Bow and Windy up in Cloudsdale during Hearth's Warming. But Daring isn't exactly looking forward to the reunion since it's been so long since she saw Windy.

But Rainbow Dash is quite determined to get the bad blood between the two sisters resolved. After all, family is supposed to spend Hearth's Warming together, no matter what.

While everypony who's anypony likes Winter Wishday, Sprout does not. He cares not for it in the slightest, and isn't afraid to voice his displeasure of it regardless of whether or not he's asked.

However, Sprout's friends in Sunny and Hitch become worried about Sprout's dislike of the holiday, and decide they need to try to at least get him to see it from a different point of view.

Then, that night, Sprout receives some unexpected visitors as he is made to confront his past, present and future in regards to Winter Wishday. And by the time it's over, he just might come to learn something new about others, or maybe even himself.

Granny Smith has lived a long life, everypony knows that. Thus, it is of little surprise when she learns that her life is soon going to come to an end. But that doesn't make the news any easier to bear for her family.

With the death of Granny Smith now a certainty, the Apple family does their best to prepare for the inevitable. And when the end does come, they all come together to grieve the passing of one of their own.

But for the Apple siblings, Granny Smith's death will hit especially hard. Fortunately, they will have the support of friends and family alike to lean on.

After being reunited with Sparky, Hitch is more determined than ever to find a reliable pony to be a designated dragonsitter for him. There's just one problem, he doesn't know who to turn to fill that role.

As Hitch contemplates his options, Sprout happens to show up hoping to have a talk with Hitch about his "community service". Seeing an opportunity to prove how useful he can be, Sprout offers to be Sparky's dragonsitter. And after some pleading, Hitch reluctantly agrees.

Unfortunately for Sprout, he has no idea what Sparky is capable of or how much of a hoofful he can be. Sprout will soon learn just how much trouble one baby dragon can be all by himself.

With "Make Your Mark, Chapter 2" now on Netflix, it's time for another look back at G4 and a chance to see how things could've been different there. It's once again time for that series which dares to ask and seeks to answer that fateful question "What if that episode had been written differently?"

Just ten episodes are on tap for this volume, but they include some redoes, as well as a reworking of a Season 8 episode due to previous rewrites. Episodes from Seasons 1-3, and 6-8 are being rewritten here.

Yet again, the same old disclaimer applies, the episodes rewritten are based on my personal opinion so please respect it. Don't get offended if an episode you liked is on the list here, or an episode you didn't like isn't on this list. I'll gladly respect your opinions if you respect mine.

Alphabittle has always been seen as a pony unicorns can turn to for advice, if he feels like giving it. For the most part, Alphabittle is just content to run his tea shop and keep his mind off of other things.

One day, however, Alphabittle finds himself having to try to convince a young unicorn named Izzy from leaving Bridlewood to make friends. And it seems like Izzy isn't in a mood to be told no.

Yet Alphabittle will still try his best to get Izzy to see the world from his point of view. And by the end, Izzy might just learn something about the tallest unicorn around.

Gallus and Silverstream have settled into newly wed life, and couldn't be happier living in Equestria together. That is, until they learn of some truly shocking news: Queen Novo has died!

With her cousin Skystar due to ascend to the throne, Silverstream immediately begins making plans to return to Mount Aris to be there for her grieving cousin. Not wanting to let his wife go alone, Gallus pleads with Princess Twilight to be allowed to accompany Silverstream back home.

When Princess Twilight gives her blessings, Gallus prepares to return to a place he has little familiarity with. But nothing will stop him from being there for his wife, as she and her extended family join all of Mount Aris and Seaquestria in mourning the passing of their queen.

For many years, Scootaloo has proudly worn the label of an official Cutie Mark Crusader. She's happily enjoyed many adventures and life changing events with her fellow Crusaders: Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

Now, however, the fully grown pegasus is considering the possibility of spreading her wings elsewhere. Her own pursuits seem poised to take her away from the Cutie Mark Crusaders, at least for a good long while.

Naturally, Scootaloo decides to share this consideration with her friends and fellow Crusaders first. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle in turn want to give Scootaloo a little bit of parting advice, advice about what it truly means to be a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Spider Mare is back once again, true believers! She's embarking on her biggest adventure yet, with her trusted partner (and love of her life) Black Cat by her side.

Manehattan is being terrorized by none other than Spider Mare, or so it seems! An impostor is clearly out to ruin the wall crawler's reputation, and the only way to clear things up is for Spider Mare and Black Cat to journey back to Manehattan to confront the impostor.

While the crime fighting couple are away, events unfold in Ponyville that will see Starlight Glimmer (a close friend of Spider-Mare's secret identity in Pinkie Pie) become a super villain. A new addition to Spider Mare's growing rogues gallery!

And as if things weren't already bad enough, it seems like Pinkie Pie is under the weather. Her spider powers are on the fritz. Could this be an untimely end for our beloved wallcrawler?!
