SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

This story is a sequel to The Amazing Spider Mare: Sinister Secrets

(Takes place in an alternative universe post Season 5. Familiarity with the prequels is strongly encouraged.)

Spider Mare is back once again, true believers! She's embarking on her biggest adventure yet, with her trusted partner (and love of her life) Black Cat by her side.

Manehattan is being terrorized by none other than Spider Mare, or so it seems! An impostor is clearly out to ruin the wall crawler's reputation, and the only way to clear things up is for Spider Mare and Black Cat to journey back to Manehattan to confront the impostor.

While the crime fighting couple are away, events unfold in Ponyville that will see Starlight Glimmer (a close friend of Spider-Mare's secret identity in Pinkie Pie) become a super villain. A new addition to Spider Mare's growing rogues gallery!

And as if things weren't already bad enough, it seems like Pinkie Pie is under the weather. Her spider powers are on the fritz. Could this be an untimely end for our beloved wallcrawler?!

Thanks immensely for getting this story started. Really appreciate that, as well as the work that went into the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Certainly liked seeing Spider-Mare and Black Cat kicking those crooks' flanks. Though, yeah, Spider-Mare getting tired like that, well, as you said, Cheese, you ARE married. You haven't yet stopped to consider that there might be a mundane reason she could be under the weather - something that could probably resolve itself in a few months assuming you two survive that long (which you probably will).

Well, on to the next chapter.

Again, a great job on this chapter. Very much appreciate the effort that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Again, yeah, I kind of appreciate the touch about the family connection between Lede and Jeffrey Jackson as well as the photographer names being the same as Spider-Man's co-creators. Though, Jackson, that stuff about "When Pigs fly.", I'd be VERY careful about that - keep in mind the kind of world you live in (though he might not know about Applejack and Fluttershy encountering the Pigasus).

Again, on to the next chapter.

Again, really good job on the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. So, Spider-Mare had her first encounter with her impostor (who is either this universe's version of Mysterio or this universe's version of the Chameleon [of course, if it's the latter, Chrysalis would be an extremely good candidate for that role because she already has the shape-shifting abilities and also as, even if she doesn't know Pinkie is Spider-Mare, Chrysalis would still love to ruin the reputation of one of Equestria's greatest heroes]). And, yeah, the impostor got away for the time being, but that's only for now. Now Spider-Mare and Black Cat are continuing the pursuit separately and Spider-Mare just had an encounter with a police helicopter.

And, onto the next chapter.

Another well done chapter with excellent action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. That was one intense chase from the police and, yeah, good reason for them to finally call it off. Also loved the chat with Shining Armor after the chase was over. I agree. He DOES make a great Captain Stacy analogue. And I ALSO read something in a much earlier story in this series regarding plans concerning Shining ALSO eventually becoming this universe's answer to Captain America (or, rather, Captain Equestria). Unless, of course, I read those plans wrong, in which case I profusely apologize in advance. And, yeah, the tip concerning the impostor and the fair warning concerning "tending to fear things they don't understand" make a lot of sense.

On to the next chapter, of course.

Hey there. Another superb job on this latest chapter. Definitely loved the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Definitely loved the dialogues with Stan, Steve and Jack (and, indeed, no sane individual would think you WOULD make the counterparts to Spider-Man's co-creators AND Jack Kirby into bad guys) in addition to the rescue operation saving everybody in the building from the symbiotes.

And, on to the next chapter.

Another excellent chapter with great action, dialogue, characterization and future chapter set-up. Appreciated the show of the effort concerning the fight with the symbiotes AND destroying the generators. The exchanges between Spider-Mare and Black Cat were also rather good.

And, on to the next chapter.

Again, great action, dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. The effort that went into trying to take out that last symbiote generator was well done and definitely loved the "Spot the Impostor" bit when Spider-Mare had her second encounter with said impostor, this time with Black Cat's help. The impostor got away again, but I doubt that's going to last long.

Onward to the other chapters up for now.

Once more, some really good work on the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Really loved the teamwork that went into defeating the Spider-Mare impostor/Chameleon (and, yes, you DO have a point about Trixie being Mysterio way back in the first story in this series). Definitely appreciated the bit of backstory concerning Chameleon being one of Chrysalis's former infiltrators before she got deposed and now working for whoever can pay for his services (in this case, it sounds like this universe's answer to either the Kingpin, Tombstone or both). And now, Spider-Mare and Black Cat have a little more info on that scheme.

Next chapter coming up now.

Once more, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up (including the action set-up) are rather well-done. And, yeah, no sooner does Spider-Mare manage to clear herself, Starlight ends up transforming into the Lizard. At least Twilight and Spike weren't hurt. And, yeah, the Big Man and Chameleon will be back in due time. We already figured that. Of course, WE know what happened to Starlight, but Pinkie and Cheese don't know YET (they WILL very soon, though).

Onward to the following chapter.

Definitely appreciated the dialogue with Twilight, Spider-Mare and Black Cat concerning the investigation before they inspected the laboratory ruins and found the tape records. Well, they now know that Starlight was involved in an experiment gone wrong and has turned into a monster.

And, yes, the characterizations and future chapter set-up were also well done as usual and I'm going to be reading the next chapter now.

Once more, the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up are well done. Appreciated Twilight looking over Pinkie's web-shooters before they went down into the sewers after Starlight, as well as Pinkie reflecting on the last time she was down in the sewers before Spider-Mare and Black Cat ran into that mutant in the sewers. Yeah, definitely getting pretty tense (very appropriately so).

Definitely going to be looking forward to more of this.

Staring straight back at the web slinger was a heavily armored helicopter piloted not by the Manehattan police but by the royal guard!

This whole chapter reminds of the PS4 game for some reason. It's distinct enough to still be interesting though.

Looking forward to reading the rest.

Much of this chapter was taken from levels from the second chapter of the 2000 Spider-Man video game, in which Spider-Man is chased by a police helicopter.

I knew it!

And don't worry, for those who know about George Stacey's history in the comics, I have no intention of killing off Shining Armor.

That's good. Especially considering cannonicaly the best candidates for the Lizard come from within his own family.

Another really good chapter. Certainly appreciated the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up. The attempts to reason with Starlight/the Lizard are rather well done in addition to the fight and Starlight managing to regain control for a VERY brief period. But, you can bet that Spider-Mare and the Black Cat will be back once they have a better plan.

Definitely looking forward to more of this.

Once again, a very good job on this latest chapter. Definitely liked the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. So, Pinkie and Cheese now have a much better idea what Starlight/Lizard is up to, thanks to Twilight (though it would probably be advisable to call the Fantastic Four for back-up for something this big [too bad Spike isn't Super Dragon in this universe, but then again, given that magic is one of Superman's three biggest weaknesses anyway, that would probably be a moot point]). And, hopefully, Twilight, Pinkie and Cheese will be able to come up with a good plan AND an antidote (I mean, they probably WILL, but it's still not going to be easy).

Anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

VERY good work on the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in this latest installment. Definitely liked Pinkie and Twilight's discussion before Pinkie and Cheese went back down there, with both sides making good points (though Pinkie is wrong about one thing; Twilight IS one of the most powerful ponies in Equestria [both in terms of rank AND in terms of actual ability]). Also appreciated the rematch with the Lizard, with the Lizard essentially defeating herself as Spider-Mare figured she would. And, now Pinkie has blacked out. And who wants to guess that Pinkie's reduced energy has to do with her being pregnant (which would probably result in the birth of this world's version of Little Cheese)? And, yeah, having the Fantastic Four filling in for Spider-Mare and/or the Black Cat for a few months after this adventure is truly over would probably be an extremely good idea.

But, anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Another really well done chapter with excellent exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. I admit that I was expecting/hoping for the "pregnancy" deal, but I could also see the "further mutation" deal (as you said, it DOES make sense). And now the Chameleon has kidnapped Aunt Suzanne and upped the ante. Yikes!

I know this is now on hiatus for the time being and I can understand real world concerns needing to come first, but I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this.

Whoa! Intense chapter, but definitely love the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up. Definitely liked the fights with Chameleon, Suri/Vulture and Shocker as well as Spider-Mare's fight inside her mind concerning her uncle Al's killer before she ended up mutating into the Mare-Spider.

I'm going to guess that, somewhere, Shining is going to end up getting injured, but survive (albeit requiring an experimental Super Soldier Serum to make a full recovery, increasing his already athletic-level physical abilities to super-equine levels as well as making his shields even stronger than before, thereby transforming him into Captain Equestria), though I admit that IS just a guess and is more likely to be wrong than right.

Anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Whoa. Excellent job on the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up in this latest installment. Yeah, figured Chameleon and Vulture would book the instant they saw the Mare-Spider, though I appreciated Black Cat trying to reason with Pinkie (as well as the flashback to Pinkie thinking to bring the antidote just in case something like this happened). Also loved the real Gilda showing up to help as a Redeeming Replacement for the original Green Griffon. Hopefully, Green Griffon II and Black Cat will be able to get Spider-Man back to normal then ALL THREE of them can go rescue Aunt Suzanne from Chameleon, Vulture and the soon-to-be revealed Big Man (almost definitely this universe's answer to the Kingpin, Tombstone or a combination of both).

And, maybe, after Aunt Suzanne has been rescued, Green Griffon II and Trixie (back in the Mysterio role, but this time as a legit hero) could fill in for Spider-Mare and Black Cat while the former's recovering from her illness (and possibly pregnancy later on). That would certainly be an entertaining potential spin-off mini-series.

And, a possible future (in more ways than one) Spider-Mare adventure could have Spider-Mare and Black Cat (backed up by the Fantastic Four) time-travelling more than 1000 years into the future (chasing a villain who stole an experimental time machine) and teaming up with the Spider-Mare of G5 (since it would be pretty easy to visualize one of the new Mane Five [though most likely either Sunny or Izzy] becoming an analogue to the Miquel O'Hara Spider-Man working to reunify the divided pony tribes through hope and trust inspiring heroics).

But, well, I'll admit that those are just wild guesses and more likely to be wrong than right.

But, anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Really emotional chapter (appropriately so). Appreciated the effort that went into the action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up as usual. Glad the antidote for the Mare-Spider mutation worked and I can understand why Gilda would be so reluctant to talk to Spider-Mare after she wakes up. And, yeah, also appreciated the reason S.M.I.L.E. and the Fantastic Four were too busy to help out on this case until now. Hopefully, whatever's wrong with Aunt Suzanne is something the villains have an antidote for so that Spider-Mare and Black Cat have SOME chance of being able to actually save her after fighting through Chameleon, Vulture and a few more of the Big Man's goons for the last time in THIS story.

Definitely looking forward to more of this.

This final chapter was appropriately emotional. Downright bittersweet for very good reason. The exchanges, characterizations, story wrap-up and future story set-up are all very well done. While I'll admit that, like Pinkie, I hoped beyond hope that whatever was wrong with Aunt Suzanne was something the villains would have an antidote for (to attempt to lure Spider-Mare into another trap), I can understand why you chose to do it this way and I am, at least glad Pinkie got to have that final chat with Aunt Suzanne before she passed away. Also liked the details on the funeral, the confirmation that Chameleon and Vulture WERE caught and the reveal of Pinkie's pregnancy at the end. Certainly added a welcome degree of sweet to the bittersweet. Hopefully, the next story will start out with a few of the other super-heroes trying to fill in for Spider-Mare and Black Cat while they are attending to the arrival of this universe's Li'l Cheese (possibly even Trixie re-taking the Mysterio role as a legit hero this time).

But, anyway, thanks very much for doing this story and very much look forward to more of your work in general.
