A Displaced story.

How would you feel, I wonder, if your reality was torn out from under you, to have your life stripped away in the strangest of circumstances, and thrust into a world you have no understanding of, with no way to get home. Now living the life of a star spirit, who without starlight, you simply cease to exist until the next night brings you back.

How would you cope, if you were only ten years old at the time?

For our young heroine, the answer was simple. She didn't.

Her name is now Mare, and she wants to be left alone.

The character Mare is from the Visual Novel Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star, But is unlikely to contain any elements from there apart from the appearance, abilities and some mannerisms of the character Mare, so prior knowledge is unnecessary, and even mildly discouraged, as I will not be entirely faithful to the source material, and most things will be explained in the story.

To save time, rather than putting this on individual chapters, I'll just say that This story has been edited by m2pt5, and probably will be for the foreseeable future, and is much better off for it.

Set a week after a Canterlot Wedding

Luna is visited in the dead of night by a very old friend, to finally settle a debate that has been going on for quite some time, needless to say, things get complicated.

Pinkamena Diane Pie is far from what you would call an average high school student, yet you would be hard pressed to call her extraordinary either, she's just there.

Bitter snarky, misanthropic, and avoided by the student body, she's a loner and that's the way she likes it. She lives her life in a routine, minute by minute, and she would be quite satisfied not talking for more than five minutes to anyone beyond her sister for the rest of school, if not the rest of her life.

This all changed when a Pink Pony Proclaiming to be called Pinkie Pie appeared on the end of her bed, determined "help her find her Rainboom".

Pinkamena just thinks she's lost it, could she be right? Either way, her routine is about to get shaken up by several increments, can she make friends,or will Pinkamena be victorious.

Paradox has always known he was different, he was pretty small compared to most people, he lives with his parents and rarely leaves the house, his hair was an unusual colour… He also had a pair of wings, a tail, walked on four hooves and covered in brightly coloured fur. So yeah, you could say that he is quite different to All the Humans around him. Mysteriously left on the doorstep of the wealthy couple of Rachelle & Arthur Millar as a foal, he was raised in secret by the pair and loved like he was their own. Despite his loving adoptive parents, he often feels out of place, like he hadn’t found his place in life, or rather life hadn’t found a place for him.

Snowy is an up and coming academic in the field of magical theory, specialising in the Advanced manipulation of reality (known as Chaos magic), in the Canterlot Academy of Magical Studies. She has always been looked down upon by her older colleges... literally, being about a half-a-head shorter than the average mare. Add being an Albino and a rather touchy attitude on both subjects, and you have a mare who you have a hard time taking seriously. But she is going to change that, with her new unorthodox experiment in void tunnelling she will win the respect of her peers once and for all. Nothing can go wrong today, she won't let it!
