Rarity has a dress shop, and for the longest time, she dreams of making it big in the fashion industry. However, Sweetie Bell living with Rarity on a more permanent basis has forced the unicorn to accept that she is learning just as much about the fashion world as she is about rearing fillies.

So when her little sister comes home one day and asks a most disturbing question regarding their unicorn parents, Rarity is intent on busting what she believes is a myth that has so long lingered regarding unicorns. After all, there was no need for everyone in Ponyville to think that unicorns commonly commit acts of incest when such was not true.

Right?

Celestia attempts to make sense of the crashing of Princess Cadance's wedding (and the subsequent attempt to takeover Equestria) by consulting the all powerful guest list and Luna. The ensuing conversation hints that Luna's absence may have been less than coincidental.

Sunset Shimmer. A name respected by few, known by many. Months after returning to Equestria, Sunset is once again in trouble with her former mentor. This time however, the crime is less trivial, and much closer to home than the alicorn would have preferred.

Her actions have now stirred up a hornet's nest, and in an effort to better understand the events that preceded, Celestia offers Sunset the chance to explain not only herself, but the motives behind her supporters for aiding her in her crime.

However, Sunset Shimmer is not the only problem that Equestria has to deal with, and before the dust settles, it becomes clear that Sunset's actions are only a part of a much larger scheme.

Cadance has just given birth to Dusk Armor, the newest prince. He is going to fill the role of succession that for so long had been put off by Sombra's curse, or so Celestsia and Luna believe.

Chrysalis and Sunset Shimmer have different plans, however.

Chrysalis wants vengeance, and has patiently awaited her chance to lash out where and when her foes are weakest. With Cadance weakened from labor, she finds this as the perfect opportunity to dish out a cold dish.

Sunset Shimmer, with newfound friends allied to a common cause, have also arrived in the Empire, and intend on capturing Cadance for their own personal gain, completing a long-unfinished dark magic spell in order to attain great power.

Caught up in the middle of this are Shining Armor, Cadance, Dusk Armor, and of course, Flash Sentry, who together must attempt to stop their plans using any means necessary.

There is a long running gag that if there is a new foal in town, Twilight will find some way to find it and take care of it. Thus, ponies have a habit of attempting to dump newborn foals on the young alicorn in the middle of the night.

Twilight is not too fond of having a nursery in her library, especially not for some other pony's foals. However, when Flash Sentry arrives with a basket, a blanket, and a desperate expression, the stage is set for a confrontation with the potential reality of the gag's implications.

Or a hasty conclusion that is as far off base as close as it is to making logical sense.

Gilda is interrupted in the midst of her personal logging time. Needless to say, she is not pleased.

Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are ready for the birth of their foal. In the meantime, celebrations of all kinds mingle with the regular business of a new heir.

Taxes, cider, and a discussion on family history should be enough of a complication without the troubles of finding a name for the foal. A good laugh here and there sprinkled with serious business.

Delivering a foal, calming irate nobles who see another tax rise as a threat, and still keeping the peace. All in a night's work for the two Alicorn sisters.

Sombra needs to complete only one last mission before he gets to retire once and for all and live out the rest of his day with his family.

The mission was simple: get in, secure the crystal heart, and subdue the earth pony princess. Seemed easy enough.

However, a mission of this sort done outside of Celestia's supervision is bound to have complications.

Sombra might should have waited for Celestia to dismiss him as a result of old age.

Sombra has been enjoying his vacation with his family when he suddenly gets a strange visitor late in the night. He thought that he could enjoy his vacation in peace; fate and Luna had different plans.
