An endless abyss of sand in every direction. Among the sands, a lone unicorn draped in purple robes canters towards a mysterious light in the distance...the Journey begins.

This is a cross between thatgamecompany's Journey and MLP:FiM. There will be differences between this and the storyline of Journey, as well as differences between this and the game mechanics of Journey.

Huh..... I should really update my own Journey story. Watching!

Yet another good story, friend.
Seems very well written, and I can't wait to see what decisions you've made.
Good job.

Awesome start.
I've got a something to comment about.

Purple realized the mountain must hold some significance to whoever her people were

for this I don't think you should use people, as she is not a person, you could change this to kind.
that and their were some spelling errors in there somewhere.
can't wait for the next chapter.

2188154 I did a once over and I think I got all the spelling and grammatical errors. Thanks for pointing them out.

Awesome chapter.
A couple of things to fix, that I saw.

Eventually the sands succeeded in fully concealed the mountain

Think ya ment "concealing"
and

She was glad she had her robe as it protected her face and boy from the brunt of the storm.

Ya dropped the "D" in body.
Can't wait for the next chapter, bro.:pinkiehappy:

First Rarity now it's Twilight's turn.

2253300 Funny thing, the story you're thinking of was submitted mere hours after this one was.
And technically since I'm trying to make this as close to Journey as possible, the characters are more implied to be the mane 6, though in the story they are never referred to by their names. 'Purple'(Twilight) just gives herself and the different creatures and objects names based on what they look like.

hope you enjoy(ed) the story!:pinkiehappy:

Awesome chapter.

No sooner had she finished examining Blue, before she saw a small noise coming from the Blue’s direction.

:rainbowhuh: Saw... Purple can see noice. :pinkiegasp:
Can't wait for the next chapter.

2255155 In Journey whenever you or someone else makes noise, it makes a little sphere of sound around them...

I like it. I never played Journey but I have heard about it. I would love to if not for the fact its exclusive to the PS3. And seeing as how theres no other real reason to buy one, I guess I'll just have to satiate my mild curiousity by watching a playthrough video. Onwards to the next chapter!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Follow.

I understand why you would feel like having Pinkie talk in this chapter is breaking some unspoken rule of silence from the game, but it kind of makes sense since her background is that of a deity. She even stated that she lost her powers when the Travelers stole her scarves, so she's at least old enough to have been from that era of the history of the story. Although I wouldn't have her in it too much, it would be just too weird to have a Pinkie Pie in a story and not have her talk your ear off, so just leave her out a few chapters and bring her back later like "What, I didnt do anything!:pinkiecrazy:"

Excellent chapter. And I like how you portrayed Pinkie. The whole "no dialogue" thing you have going is awesome, and although last chapter she was as talkative as ever, its good that you merely described her talking instead of inputting her actual dialogue. The presence of Pinkie Pie is better taken in shifts. :pinkiecrazy:

I think "Sad" should be added as a category, cause this story brings tears to my eyes. :applecry::fluttercry::fluttershbad::raritycry::pinkiesad2:

Story Title: An Equestrian Journey

Author: Aslfrasle

Reviewed by: Charelzzz

An Equestrian Journey is a crossover adventure that merges MLP:FIM with TGC’s critically acclaimed Journey; it is safe for all readers. The story is roughly 16,000 words long, and employs a highly original approach. The majority of the story is utterly devoid of dialog, the same as the game. Readers who have never played the game may find it difficult to understand. Lacking context, there is altogether too much mystery in the details. The effect is surreal for the first few chapters. However, if the reader takes it on faith that the story actually does hold together, later chapters convey some excellent storytelling. The finale is quite edifying; it is logical, with powerful emotional impact.
