My Little pony: friendship is magic, despite what we all feel and the quality of the show it self, is essentially a 24 minute toy commercial with a plot. so it would not be unlikely that the other mane sixers will change eventually to, even if they don't i could see twilight using age spells to keep her friends and there families alive, amusing that is what they would want. and if we assume that ponyville was founded hundreds of years ago, as was said in winter wrap up, than Granny Smith is at least 200 years old,as her family founded ponyville when she was a teenager( or the equivalent). she is clearly still kicking, and when you consider that Granny's own great aunt Applesauce is also still alive. that all leads to ponies being pretty long lived, even without magic
Was... there a Dark Knight reference in there? Anyway, I like how this went. It took the concept of what this whole Twilacorn situation will bring (or could; technically, it isn't exactly verified if alicorn=immortality), and it brought a sort of better light to it. It doesn't have a "Sad" tag, and for a reason. She isn't going to mope about it, nor will we see when the days come where her friends leave one by one, but she smiles and is going to take and keep the moments she has with her friends until the end. It's simple, and it's an idea going to be done to death. But I liked it, so good job.

This alcorn twilight thing is going to stick around for ahille so it is good to come across some simple slice of life stories. This was a good story.

The opening is confusing:
This sounds like the start of a dream sequence. It sounds like Twilight wasn’t sure where she was before, and only now she realizes she’s in her old room. The problem is that the sentence with the location is in an unnatural place, inserted in the middle of the act of looking around. It would be more natural to introduce the location like this:
I was also confused for a while about how Twilight wasn’t alarmed at seeing Discord out of his statue, until I realized that I had forgotten the episode with Discord’s reform. I guess I have read too much fanfiction in which Discord is still evil.

Actually yeah, I think I see what you're getting at. Discord is still Discord (du-hu-hurrrrr) but toned down.
Similarities I see between this Discord and the Discord in the now established S4 canon is that yes, Discord can be a dick but he does it for a reason. Like when he sent Twilight back into the forest, he did it in 'his' way but he had good intentions.

Naw, I've noticed that this site doesn't look down on rambling as much as its mainstream peers (twiiter, tumblr, etc). This is a fanfiction site, so we're expected to read walls of text anyway.
