Any reason you went with Sunny Skies? That's usually the name people give Celestia before she went all alicorn'y (or the one she uses for her disguise), if they write it like that anyway.

I picked the name at random, then remembered later it was the name given to disguised Celestia.
And it was almost annoying to see Dash's dad with the same mane two days later LOL.
in my canon I could say that her dad had his mane dyed when Dash was young, just as she was getting to that age to realise how different she was from other ponies, so she didn't feel so singled out and freaky. It wasn't permanent and didn't last more than a few weeks, but the gesture was enough and little Dashie loved him all the more for it.
I could say that, and would have said it sooner, if I hadn't just made it up right this minute.

Wow, what a interesting story. There were a few grammatical errors like one commenter said, but I guess I'll let it slide for now. I love how you made Rainbow's story so realistic, I mean, I could picture the whole thing....The place, the emotion, how Rainbow looked back then, everything! I love this story and hopefully, you'll make more stories like this.

But why does everbody think it's like not genetics or something. I mean it's a girl's TV show. And if you think Rainbow is a filly fooler I swear I will definitely crack your neck open. Just because she has rainbow hair doesn't mean anything. If it was genetics then she had no choice, if it was dye then she probably just liked the look. And she had Rainbow hair when she was reallh yound do you think they'd let her die her mane and tail? (My rambling has nothing to do with this story.)

I kind of expected that to be in more fics, but I've only read ONE fic where she actually dyed her mane and tail with hair dye.
Another fic did have her dye it with actual liquid rainbow, though.

I was tempted to make another Rainbow Factory reference after reading that line, but I decided against it.

I wasn’t expecting that, but I was pleasantly surprised! I really appreciate the creativity of coming up your own back story and everything. It made this quite an enjoyable read! It also had really funny beginning
