Why? Because I just got Netflix and watched the season 3 and 4 of Torchwood.
It's impressive how bad those two seasons are. Mostly the last one which has more plotholes than the changelings.
Well, I still like that series and the concept behind it, even if it started to suck bad.
I haven't forgotten my other stories. I'm just an idiot with a short attention span.
Note: I've checked Spitfire's uniform and while it's not a direct link to the US or Canada aviation's rank, I feel the symbols they used are closed to the Major rank. Also remember that being a captain or a squadron or a ship doesn't mean you have the captain rank.
P.S.: I have no plan for this story. It hasn't been pre-read and I don't intend it to be. It's just a quick silly thing.

1912414 Spin-off series of Doctor Who. Torchwood is an anagram of "Doctor Who". An organization founded by the Queen of England, to defend the United Kingdom against aliens like the Doctor.

I knew it! It was that Torchwood I was thinking of!
Within the actual show, the anagram is coincidental, as the Torchwood insitute is named after a house in Scotland.
Personally I thought that season 3 was the best one - diabolical enemy, a realistic view of politics in an extreme crisis situation and a license to go dark on the final ending.
Originally the child was meant to be ok, until Davies said that was what would happen in an episode of Dr. Who, not an episode of Torchwood.
Season 4 was full of contradictions though
About this chapter though, it's an interesting start off. Lightning Dust just needs to get over her pathological desire to be the best at the expense of anyone else.
