A quiet, crazy Yank who is also a hopeless romantic and eternal optimist. ... Yeah, that just about covers it.

Suppose you discovered that your best friend was terminally ill and that they had hidden it from you, how would you feel? Hurt? Scared? Angry? What would you do?

When Rainbow Dash learns something about Pinkie Pie, she and the rest of her friends struggle to get to the bottom of things and deal with a possible heart-wrenching reality.

I felt a feel.

Ah, at last! This is quite excellent. I think the beginning was a tad weak - could've used a bit more build-up before you dropped us into the story - but after that it was wonderfully smooth sailing. Your Mane Six characterization is great, especially Rainbow Dash; I loved that bit where she lamented being unable to help Pinkie in a situation like this. Loyalty indeed. I also loved that you sneaked in a reference to "The Light in the Darkness." Nice continuity!

Anywayz, please do continue this. I'm intrigued now.

That description but slice of life? You mean a fic dealing with heavy issues witthout resulting to emotional puppetry exists? Wow.

Your characterization remains strong, Zap, especially that of Dash. Maybe just a touch too quick at the very beginning, but in all you continue to maintain the ability to present heavy topics without it devolving into a mess. Good on ya', bud!

Yeah, I wasn't too sure how to fix the beginning, that seems to be my weak point. Glad you're enjoying it thus far!

Thanks!

Isn't that how you're supposed to write?

Thank you, good sir! :pinkiehappy:

That was actually more amusing than I thought it would be... I think I'll stick around to see how the rest of the story goes.

Needs more thumbs.

Also needs more updates.

Like for realz, yo.

By way of actual commentary I will say that this story has a rather trite premise that I would have ignored if I didn't already like the author... but I'm glad I didn't ignore it, because the presentation is done professionally enough to make it enjoyable despite its predictability. Taking your time on the build up and framing instead of jumping right to the sobbing and funerals really helps to make the (what I assume will be nigh-inevitable) melodrama of the plot device so much more bearable.

There be pain in my eyes.:pinkiesad2: but contentedness with the story

Gotta say, I saw that twist coming a mile away. :raritywink: Still, this was a sweet, if somewhat depressing, story.

I truly am sorry to hear about your friend; that kind of loss is never easy to go through. If you don't mind, I'd like to reminisce about a family member I lost recently. My cat, Aslan, had been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember, and he died less than a year ago. Nothing grandiose or dramatic, he just... got old. His immune system started failing, he could barely eat anything, and he was going blind to boot. We kept him happy for as long as we could, but one morning he just curled up and refused to move. We took him to the vet and had him put down, and that was it. Sure, it's sometimes sad to think about, but I'm glad for the time we had together. Besides, he hung on to ripe old age of 19, so it's astounding that he lasted as long as he did.

To old friends, and may they rest in peace.

*nods* To old friends.

'Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light...'

I am sorry for the loss of your friend and I know how you feel because my grandpa died from cancer we found out one day when he lost his hair and I didn't understand too much on what was going on at the time but, I knew he was sick, I remember when he use to pick me up from school everyday until one day..he was too weak to get out the car and that same week on Saturday and I was about to call him he called my grandma's phone and I answered it thinking it was my grandpa but, it was his son informing my grandma her husband had died, it hit me hard sense he was my only grandpa that I grew up with and in my head it was just like 'why did this have to happen to him? He was kind and did not have a single enemy' I just wished he could have lived another day so I could have said..I love you:fluttercry:

Hemp is still used to make some medicines. Over time, people realized that it could be used for other purposes as well. Nowadays, people use cannabis not only for making marijuana but also for various other substances. Have you heard of cannabis in syrup form? The platform https://bbgate.com/threads/enantiomers-of-stimulants-part-1-basics-amphetamine.1338/ tells us about Enantiomers of stimulants. It has a much faster action than other cannabis products. This is a very interesting forum, I recommend it for reading!
