This looks glorious i have to say, now to read it. :pinkiegasp::pinkiecrazy::pinkiehappy:

I can't say I was expecting another story, but I can't say that I'm mad. Thanks for writing!

2008294
Hopefully you can, now that it's approved! (That was quite quick!)

2008440

I could once you removed te password protection for it, even if it wasnt approved then. Since it was added to the Twilestia group.

As long as you provide the link you can show anyone a story even if it isnt approved (if you put a password dont forget to tell the people you want to show :rainbowwild:)

Hmmm. I don't quite remember where Where the Mind Roams left off, but I'm pretty certain that they weren't griffons. Hopefully the cover-art will be explained sometime, but if not, it's still awesome. Will read soon.

2008467
You'll see. I actually had quite a bit of trouble figuring out what the title image should be about, but I thought this particular scene would draw eyes and curiosity, if nothing else.

2008464
It's been there for a while, hidden by a password. Check the 'posted' date on that chapter. :scootangel:

Now is not the time to even hint at impropriety, and tongue-bathing a stranger’s testicles might, under some rare-and-unusual circumstances, be misinterpreted as inappropriate.

Inappropriate? Perish the thought.
Seriously though, that made me laugh so hard.

Commence read.

Off to a great start.

Very imaginative dream.

I'm looking forward to the rest.

I'm also secretly hoping for me stammering Twilight and soothing Celestia...

One can only hope. :twilightblush:

Yes. I like this new creation.

One thing, the Strike tag is a simple S, not Strike.

(Joke) Alt. Title: There The Featured Box Follows: Where The Romcom Wanders Part III
Luna and Rarity? Wha...?

“No, silly! I only had one night in Canterlot, after all. I slept with all of them at once!”

I made these sounds:

““Then perchance thou wouldst do it for... two books?” A second book, shrouded in Luna’s levitation spell, came up to hover right next to the first, its cover adorned with a lightning bolt-marked unicorn stallion.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who pictured Scooby Doo, here.

“Then perchance thou wouldst do it for... two books?”

Scooby Doo reference, did not saw that coming.

Why are they Gryphons in the story image? What is this?

2009405
I was worried nopony'd spot it.

2009559
Have you read this chapter yet? You'll see.

I'm in the featured box? I'm in the featured box! *squee*

Ah, a continuation of Where --

> Incomplete

Yessssss.... This pleases Tast... Truth be told I was happy to see a new story from you at all! At work now, I'll read it later.

Oh Sweet Celestia, I could not read that scene with the books as anything other than Scooby Doo. "Would you do it a Scooby Snack? Well how about TWO Scooby Snacks?"

Looking at comments before hitting post... ninja'd

Clicked for the gryphons. Skimmed the comments, and 2008591 got me intrigued enough to read. Then the story hooked me on its own merits.

Oh, sweet stars and little fishes. This is one of those exceedingly rare stories that I have to reward with not only a track but also an instant author-watch. It is like some sort of machine finely tuned to press my buttons.

The two-paragraph scene with Celestia: Simply glorious. The provenance of Daring Do and the Crystal Horn: A gorgeously executed brick joke. The misinterpretation of Twilight's Canterlot stay: Fighting with the aforementioned quote as best Rarity moment.

Then I got to the Daring Do text. I'd seen a few typoes throughout, but nothing I wasn't willing to gloss over. Until —

it's

*eyetwitch* Oh, alicorn apples, and you were doing so well

... Did the world-famous author of the entire Daring Do series, an author probably aided by a small army of editors, just make an its/it’s error?

Me: ... :facehoof:
You: :trollestia:

To regift a compliment one of No Regrets' readers offered me: You, sir or madam, are trolling with fish.

Then Twilight's dream. It's just a gratuitous way to work in that otherwise unrelated cover image, but you know what, at this point I don't even care. Actually, no, I do care: It's furry fanservice and I'm the target audience. Who are you and how did you get into my brain?

Actually, that's not a rhetorical question. Luna's disguise of saddlebags and Clark Kent glasses is … is … well, um, eerie:
tomorrowlands.org/ponyfiles/avatars/UserAvatars/Tranquillity.png
(Disguised Luna is best Luna.)

Anyway, I'll leave you with a parting piece of headcanon I think you'll appreciate: The indo-european personification of Dawn is traditionally a beautiful, nubile, fertile young woman. (Eos, Aurora, Oester, even Aphrodite trace their roots back.) But ... what mythologies do have Dusk, have him as male. And those first mortal ponies had to come from somewhere.

In other words: Celestia has always been Luna's sister. The reverse, however, is not true.

“Good thing Owloysius taught me how to read lips.”

But...but...beak.....

“Wouldst thou do it for a book?” The flap on one of the moon-princess’ saddlebags opened, and with a minor magical flourish, the alicorn drew forth a hardback novel with a brightly-shaded cover.

"Ruh-uh" Twilied Sparkle replied, sitting back on her haunches and looking put out.

"Would you do it for twooo books?" The Lunar Princess bargained, pulling out a copy of The Unabridged Account of My One-Thousand Year Imprisonment, an Autobiography by Princess Luna.

"Rohkay!" Twilight barked as she telekinetically grabbed the books and sent them up to her room, for when she had some alone time.

Edit: I made this before scrolling down and realizing you had already done this. Darn it.

Here! Have a 100th upvote! :pinkiehappy:

Hey Velvet! Congrats on getting a real feature!

why is the picture of a griffin celestia and twilight?

2012120

On the other hand, if Twilight ever realizes what she has, she's probably going to come out ahead - fanfic like that probably has a lot of blackmail potential. :trollestia:

2010873
That's the joke. :raritywink:
2011185
Thanks. The previous two stories also hit the feature box, I remember. Where the Mind Roams held a spot on the featured box for about two to three weeks, luckily. Where the Mind Wanders about one and a half. I don't think I'll be this lucky this time.
2012287
Oh dear. But would anypony believe her?
2012120
She needed something to convince her, right?
2011336
You'll see.
2010902
2010632
I was surprised anypony got this, but it seems quite a few did!
2010776
I actually had difficulty deciding on what to get as a title image. This seems to hook people ok, though. That, and you maaaay just see a bit more of them in later chapters. Who knows? Thank you thoroughly for the detailed comments. Few readers put such effort in. Also, you can't believe how long I spent trying to come up with a name for maleLuna. I'm actually still not quite happy with the result. I hope you read the previous two stories in the series too!

Having been there by your side during your story-making process, I am quite happy for you and this story's success. Your talent is unmatched, and I definitely don't regret choosing you as my proofreader. So thank you, Velvet, and congratulations!

2012549 the books are Luna's fan fiction aren't they? :ajbemused:

2012549 I really hope for more of the gryphons, hopefully in the normal Equestria...

2013534
Now why would you possibly think that? :trollestia:

we found thine tale secreted within a scrollcase of intricate inlay

Hmm, i wonder if that's the same scroll case as from the last story, and if that's the case, this situation is even more awkward then Luna realizes...

2015010
Oh my, if Luna finds out...the letter would likely seem tame in comparison.

2012549 I think "Midnight Rendezvous" is pitch-perfect for the tone of the story, actually. For title art, I'd probably go with the interstitial you used of the Prince crouching over the mud puddle, but if the gryphons start factoring in more heavily it really is a beautiful piece.

Glad you appreciated the feedback, and I will make a point to savor the prequels!

A small gasp escaped Celestia’s less-than-entirely-faithful student as the last bit of the spell squirted from her horn.

There's something about this line... Something strange, as though it had more meaning than it first seems...

Probably my imagination.

But Equestria already has a Harry Potter analogue :raritydespair:

So I feel kind of dumb for asking this, but is Luna only a fugitive because she sent that scroll to her sister's school? Or was it the howler? Because when I first read that in the tagline I thought she was like, planning a rebellion against her sister and had to lay low while she plotted or something...

I dunno, maybe my mind just immediately jumps to the worst...

2022810
Oh no, it's more evading embarrassment than any kind of rebellion. And she never sent a scroll to her sister's school.

...although the scroll was involved.

2023588

By scroll I meant the fanfiction Twi wrote

2023784
Yes... but she didn't send it to the school. In fact, the scroll never ended up anywhere near the school. Where did you get that idea?

No, Luna went to that school...
...thinking the contents of said scroll were a factual representation of how unicorns are trained in magic in these modern days.

2023961

I thought I remembered her saying she sent a copy to the school thinking it was some new age training or something....

Regarding its and it's

I know I'm blogwhoring but, christ, I feel your/Twilight's pain.
