Several months have passed after Discord's sudden disappearance. With the Bastion destroyed Kid agrees to live with Rucks and Zia in Ponyville. With the help of Twilight and her friends, he hopes to begin learning what else the world has to offer.
Clean-up of the Bastion by the royal guard has been going well, but the main island seems to have been kept off-limits. Nopony knows why, but shortly afterwards strange things have been happening in the forests near Trottingham. The same forest the Bastion crashed into.
Meanwhile, Equestria remains oblivious of the Unrest in the frozen reaches to the north as an enemy that only kid knew has returned. It will take the courage of a single human, and the strength of an entire nation to push back the invaders.
But it will take the magic of friendship to stop a rivalry Kid has long since forgotten.

...How have I only found out about the Sequel NOW! Ah well, great first four chapters, only thing I find a bit doubtful is the Kid reading six books in one day. I can manage a 400 page book in about a day. Unless they were all really short novels. Great story so far, I enjoy how you've been introducing the ponies to Caeldonia's natural wildlife.
Now all you gotta do is import some more wildlife, maybe the Kid meets his Squirt all grown up and leading a group of nicer Gasfellas and loads of Squirts
. But this story is titled Return of the Ura, poor Kid/Hammer will have to deal with zebra using Ura fighting methods

I made the mistake of reading this before "Island in the sky", so at first I had no idea what was going on.
I saw that the Kid had a name and i raged so hard. " HIS NAME IS THE KID CELESTIA DAMMIT! NOT " HAMMER WHIRL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I read Island in the sky and everything came together. Now i am enjoying this quite much!
