Wow, this was a nice ride and I hope to read part 2 next year! I feel bad for the main five now but at the same time, they shouldn’t have believed everything was simply stress. Twilight and to an extent, Spike grew up with Princess Cadance as she was the foal sitter so they should have listened to Twilight.

I'm correctly guessing that the surprising sequel will be Shining and his "former" parents?

The last half of this chapter is another reminder on why LUNA'S my favorite princess. She always knows the best ways to cheer up others with her BIG-HEARTED KINDNESS & WORDS OF WISDOM. At this point, she's probably the only one who can help T.W'S & S.A'S parents see the light of reason. But it's probably best to wait until the next story to find out.

I think part 2 will be more about Shining as he tries to find the path of redemption for what happened to his sister. Perhaps he could become the Element of Magic’s new bearer like Twilight’s spirit passes it on to him. Whatever happens a long winding journey awaits him. It may show his parents that if they keep hating him for what he did then they will never truly move on from it and just destroy what is left of their family.
