Somewhere in the USA. Probably older than you. And something about MLP:FIM makes me want to write stories. Unfortunately, being gainfully employed cuts into my writing time.

Being constantly asked to care for one’s little sister would try anypony’s patience, even a soul as generous as Rarity. But are her parents’ requests an example of selfishness, or a different kind of generosity?

In Scootaloo’s Secret, Rarity was about to break a Pinkie Promise and divulge a secret. This story reveals the secret she promised to keep. For while nopony breaks a Pinkie Promise, that doesn’t apply to authors.

so should i read that first, or can i just skip to this?

1311197 The two stories are independent. Read them in whatever order you prefer.

:pinkiecrazy:NO PONY BREAKS A PINKIE PROMISE..... NO PONY!!!!!!! :pinkiegasp::flutterrage:

I really enjoy this writing style of yours, it feels like an episode of the show, if somewhat darker. (I doubt marital issues will pop in season 3.)

1311772 If that were included on the show, it would feel way too much like A Very Special Episode.

Very good. I was hoping for Rarity X Fancypants, but still very good. :raritywink: And I was worried it was terminal illness that was at the heart of the issue, thanks for not going in that direction.

Quite nicely done.

An interseting and plausible concept. You do have to wonder why Rarity's parents are always dropping off Sweetie Belle with little or no notice. They're either very thoughtless about Rarity's career and Sweetie Belle's sense of stability or there is something going on that really can't be put off.

94 likes and 0 dislikes, that's impressive, well done.

3391158 I managed over 200 likes on Clean Slate before getting that first, evil dislike.

It just sort of caught my eye as I scrolled down, but that is pretty impressive record in my opinion. This was a nice change of pace to read, keep up the good work.

ahhhhhh the first fic i read with no dislikes....and totally worth it

Very touching and sweet. Everyone felt really well characterized and this genuinely had a lot of emotional impact. Another incredible piece.
