Rarity has always loved her little sister, but their relationship has always been more than that. This is a look into the mind of a unicorn whose heart has been hardened over time and the little sister who makes her realize it's all worth it.

NOT A SHIPFIC!

I will be reading this... Carefully.

After reading this, I found it very interesting. I never would have thought Rarity's past would have been so tough, but it makes sense now that I look back. How sad, but she came out on top in the end, and that is what counts.
Another great story. My D'aww tank is full for now.

D'aww. That was sweet. Though, I would recommend that you change the wording of the description a little bit. At first I thought it was a Rarity x Sweetie Belle shipfic (thank Celestia it isn't).

This is so cute! You made Rarity so hardworking and independent. It's to be expected when you have to raise a young child at such a young age. I'm disappointed at the parents. Why. The. Fuck would they do that?! Don't they know that Sweetie Belle is ONLY five months old?:applejackunsure: Geez.

683171 those acually exist eww

This story was very pleasant to read and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the writing good sir.

This was really sweet, I really enjoy the fics about Rarity and Sweetie sister relationship, and this one is adorable :yay:

very good slice of life story i like it good job

Daaaaaaaaawwwwwwww!:pinkiesad2: this was a really nice read to wake up to in the morning! Well done!

683166Thank you, my dear. This was actually my head canon for her before season one was even over. Then her parents showed up in that one episode and was was like....nope! Doesn't change a thing!

683171 Oh my gosh, thank you for pointing that out! So not the message I want to get across with this!

683175 Sadly there are parents like that in the world. Though not as extreme as this, I was the eldest left behind to care for the youngest and become the parent. It's not a thing that should ever happen. But it does. :fluttershysad:

683252 No no, thank you for reading! Also, I'm a ma'am. :rainbowlaugh:

683368 Thank you very much!

683569 Me, too. I think there needs to be more of them out there.

684004 Thank you!

684240 *bows* Thank you. :scootangel:

My heart is exploding with dawwwwness :russian accent:

To think, I probably would've been turned away if you hadn't said "Not a Shipfic". THAT would've been a big mistake.

This was a beautiful fic to read. It really captures the bond Sweetie and Rarity have, and the hardships Rarity's overcome to get to where she is today.

...Too bad I don't like strawberries. :unsuresweetie:

Great story so far really tugs at the heart strings.

Glad to see someone else shares my headcanon that Rarity had a hard life. It's stories like this that make me feel guily that Rarity isn't my favorite. (Fluttershy is, but she's locked in an epic battle with Pinkie inside my head... and Pinkie is winning...)

this makes me think of my sister whom has cancer :fluttercry:

I was looking through my old Favourites and found this story again.
I’d never forgotten about it, even after 11 years.
