Pascoite

I'm older than your average brony, but then I've always enjoyed cartoons. I'm an experienced reviewer, EqD pre-reader, and occasional author.

Derpy always considered herself an unusual pony, but then so did everypony else. They just don’t know why: she talks to ghosts. As would befit an unusual pony, she encounters a most unusual ghost. Of course she’d want to make it her friend.

An A Most Delightful Ponidox entry.

I was a bit confused by Other Adagio, yeah. But "time passing" basically explained it.

Nice story! Yay! A solution!

Derpy's so kind!

And oh, the amulets can actually be taken off in this one. Huh.

There's something surreally delightful about Dinky studying Twilight's adventures in history class.

She hurriedly replaced the pen and closed the book, trying to hide her smile. But it faded soon enough on its own. If this kind of magic became common, who’d need the post office anymore?

Heh. We all have our priorities.

They’re right outside with my daughter. I bet she’s just like yours.

Um, spoilers? :derpyderp2:

All told, brilliant tale of Best Pony at her best: Helping everyone who needs it with eagerness that far outweighs the fact that she's not entirely sure what's actually going on. There are several threads running through this story, and every one of them is enjoyable. Thank you for this, and best of luck in the judging.

And millions of other Equestrians are consigned to total oblivion. :pinkiecrazy:

(It's a first-rate story, but I have always found time travel tales in which the past and present are actually modified rather than the "alternate timeline" dodge existentially horrifying. We're talking about people/ponies not just dying, but ceasing to have ever existed in the first place.)

I agree, there are some grim consequences to alternate realities collapsing.

This was most enjoyable. Thank you for it.

Each one of them nearly hyperventilating, gasping for air

Yeah, Derpy and Twilight probably would need someone else nearby to stay grounded. And when there isn't someone else nearby…

This was nice. Well crafted and mildly bittersweet in a happy way, I think.

Wow. This was just as fun as I'd expected from the description, but a lot more moving than I'd bargained for too. There's a definite sense of "whoa, some things have happened offscreen" when other Adagio comes in, but it doesn't particularly detract. (And I was kicking myself when Adagio said her name for the first time. All the clues had been there - someone from the other side of the mirror, not a pony, but originally from this side - but I hadn't put two and two together in time.)

Thanks very much for the fic!

Wow.. Incredible.

This was a lot of fun, but I felt the ending was a bit rushed.
