Darkonshadows

'Supposedly' evil.

This story is a sequel to Airship Mauled

Note: Not a true sequel to Airship Mauled, though there will be references and one artifact in particular that leads to this story happening.

"Baa-Ram-Ewe!" - The ancient war cry of the lambkin.

Pom 'The Canine Queen' Lambchop never thought she would have to use those three meaningful words so much.

She was living an easy going life with her family in a place known as The Volcano, or Huoshan if you were a native, as the head of the Huoshan Canine Division of the Huoshan Guard.

Her (mostly) calm life as the HCD head is soon inexorably interrupted when she's called upon to be an escort for a team of diplomats to a meeting with the Ruler of Equestria, Princess Twilight Sparkle, in Ponyville.

This lambkin, the supposed Black Sheep of her generation with very meager personal ability to defend herself, is ripped away from the world of Equestria along with three others.

A timid lambkin, a cutesy loving dragon, a sweet studious changeling and a wannabe pirate goat are going to be stuck together for quite a while.

World 1: Equestria. (Prologue)
World 2: Skunk-Fu.
World 3: Kung Fu Panda.
World 4: Rocket Knight Adventures.
World 5: Disney Afternoon World/ Sly Cooper.
World 6: Pokémon Conquest (Dynasty Warriors Style)/Nasuverse (Fate/Stay Freeform)/Digimon (Freeform)/Final Fantasy (Monsters and Summons)

the story title though!!! that reference!! xD yes!!

I have one question what happened to the shadow wolf that imprinted on Pom after being love infused by Paprika?

Your story telling is as great as what it was for airship mauled which is great

Yes please continue this to the best of your ability you write really good stories I think you just need to remember to take time to care for yourself too

Since you apparently need a reminder: only the durian was an error. The brick wall was a legitimate entrant. We never found out the whys and hows of the sentient brick wall, but that was what it was.

Ironically, I had actually written a (bad) fanfiction about Pom called On The Lamb as well. Neat stuff, this.

10409306

You'll see, it did imprint on Pom as a familiar after all.

10410212

No that's on Pom, she doesn't want to think about what she got dragged into too hard.

Baa-ram-ewe! Baa-ram-ewe! To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true! Sheep be true! Baa-ram-ewe!

That'll do Pig, that'll do

I get the feeling that Pom is eventually going to pick up some new beasties

Well...I was not expecting the world of skunk fu though I like the continuation of pom attracting dog like creatures even if they are sentient

How could the most panicky and easily spooked beings around cause changelings any kind of trouble?

Smolder, you imbecile. That's exactly how they did it. By panicking at the slightest provocation, no infiltrator could ever hope to get a hoof-hold. They managed to out-paranoid shapeshifting parasites who don't officially exist, which is pretty impressive (and in this case not strictly paranoia).

The fact that Pom wasn’t a hypochondriac and wasn’t constantly paranoid...

Ah, dramatic irony. Pom is in fact both of those things, but she kept being forced to actually deal with the sources of her fear instead of having the option to run and hide, and now the former is her default response. Especially when others are counting on her. This is why things went so badly for you the last time you met her.

Right, I hadn't even thought to ask if they'd revealed the upcoming goat character for Them's Fightin' Herds yet, but I probably should have.

This story is going well I'm enjoying it and if you enjoy writing it then that should be more important than if you think you are good at writing or not

Isn't this supposed to be chapter 6?

“Well of course.” I nodded to Ocellus, Smolder and Shanty. “I’m quite fluent in ‘underdog’.”

...ha ha ha ha 😂

To be fair to Pom, she surrounds herself with those dramatically above the average and comes from a species that is normally well below it. She really doesn't have the perspective needed to judge her own skills.

That pebble trick pissed me off in so many martial arts training programs.

Yeah the heavens are arseholes

Though I bet there is a world out there where the flowers turned you into a ravenous rampaging monster if you eat them.

Still not as bad as the one where the flower is the monster. (Howdy!)

The ancient war cry of the lambkin.

I feel like Smoulder maybe should go with Pom to see Dragon for nothing else other than the fact that she is fire proof and her scales are basically armor so Dragon basically couldn't really do anything serious to her and so she could act as Pom's security measure

10478849
Considering his fire is already explicitly burning himself, I wouldn't be too sure of that.

10480776
That's because he NEEDED his water magic so that he wouldn't be burnt by his fire magic in essence Dragon isn't fire proof but equestrian dragons like Smoulder regularly bathe in lava which is hotter than fire I don't think Dragon's fire magic would be enough to burn a creature that happily swims in melted rock that comes up from the earth's core

“We’re as ready as we’ll ever be, he’ll only be able to hurt me if he can grab onto me. Fire, magic and magical fire don’t do much to my kind of dragon.” Smolder said proudly while pointed her right thumb claw at her chest. “Lead the way buddy.”

I called it!!!

As long as we get no humans in any cross overs here, i cant wait until the next adventure.

This was interesting... I'm wondering if there ends up being a giant crossover at the end of all this

“Maybe we’ll meet aliens?”

Shanty, in this situation you're the aliens.

She definitely considers her accomplishments to be wildly embellished,

They aren't so much "embellished" as "leaving out the fact that she'd rather have been doing literally anything else".

Im trying really hard to 3d render pom and the others but its actually far easier to render po and the kung fu universe into 2d.
Great intro!

10486827

It represents the changing of worlds and it is a small foreshadowing into future endeavors.

Well one I wonder how the firework scene will play out and two I saw a display case in the EB games that is in Traralgon here in Australia that had MLP toys in it but heres the twist the toys were a crossover with Dungeons and Dragons

its interesting to see the changes that are brought by new characters being in situations they were not

For those who don't know the movie, Tai Lung specializes in pressure-point techniques... and Po wins in part because he's too fat for them to work on him.

I noticed that instead of tigress rashly charging off because of Shifu saying it is po's destiny to defeat Tai lung and not hers you have the rest of the furious five going to hinder Tai lung and then Tigress going after them a seeming slight change at first but we will see.

Also

“I’d rather you didn’t get involved with that person or the situation going on around here Shanty.” I said calmly, or at the very least as calm as I could keep my tone. “I don’t want you to pick a fight with him or get hurt. I am still going to help you train you of course, but I really don’t want you going anywhere near the guy.”

Typo

Po really is not much of a Dragon Warrior

Worst case scenario, he can at least fight Tai Lung to a stalemate with neither capable of effectively attacking the other. Better than you'll do, to say the least.

“If this your idea of showing promise, then I wonder what you actually trying looks like.” Shifu stated coldly to Po.

Po was currently doing pretty well at staying standing against Monkey; sure he wasn’t fighting back, but he was still standing and was barely managing to keep his balance under a storm of constant attacks.

That's certainly more than I'd expect from an obese neophyte going up against an expert, Shifu. (Note: I dislike calling someone by what they are even if it's also their actual name, so this is a subtle diss.)

Y'know, Ocellus' shapeshifting ought to be at least as good at repelling nerve strikes as Po's obesity...

Yes, Pom. Feel the power of the Raging Demon.

...uuuummmm

“Don’t kill him Po... break him ...” Whispered Pom, she's clearly out of it. “Tigress needs... brother... to love...”

That is kind of creepy because mainly because when used in that sense it usually mean psychologically damaging a person and I don't think tai lung would really be his right mind after that also "breaking" someone can be seen as far worse than death

10544374

Canonically speaking, Po kills Tai Lung with what amounts to an instant death attack that shouldn't actually exist. Lore says that the Wuxi Finger Hold is a fake technique that doesn't do anything other than sound threatening, yet Po managed to make it far more than a threat and an incredible reality. It's a technique that is only vaguely mentioned by Shifu when Po is first training/being-beat-up-by the Furious Five.

There are ways to break someone without destroying who they are, I find Tai Lung to be inflexible in his goals to become the Dragon Warrior and he doesn't bend his dream or ambitions for anything. He doesn't have any other goal in life and he's not really good at anything other than fighting. He put one hundred and twenty percent into that one goal to the exclusion of everything else.

That which does not bend is far easier to break and Tai Lung is already a really impossibly tough ball of rage that goes through a lot even before he meets and fights Po, but despite that he actually has a kill count of zero. I always felt it was odd that Po gained a kill count against a powerful kung fu warrior who has never actually killed anyone.

Sure the prison has a lot of heavily injured rhinos, but nobody actually died during Tai Lung's escape. The first person Tai Lung ever came close to killing is actually Shifu when he started strangling him to death before Po interferes. He's gone on a rampage, but despite that he's got a sympathetic story to him.

So Po defeats Tai Lung with a technique that is normally just a way to keep rowdy students in line and wasn't actually real at all, until Po made it real by actually doing what was supposed to be a fake technique.
