What is this a crossover of?

4828794 Wander Over Yonder

4828794

Multiple Crossovers, not a single one of them central. But Wander Over Yonder is one of them.

Everytime I write a crossover story nobody bothers to read it depending on the crossover, I don't label a specific crossover/s for this one for that reason.

4828794
4845043

I caught Star Fox and Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars as two more crossovers, which kinda makes me wonder if Fluttershy will be meeting Bucky, Jenny, Deadeye or Willy, since she's already met Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy.

What is this even a crossover with??

4997014

Wander Over Yonder = theme or parody of the story

Crossovers used thus far...

Star Fox -> Bucky O'Hare -> Super Metroid (current)

4866380

Not yet, but it'll happen eventually. It'll take her a while to even end up back in the Aniverse Systems.

4998102 I knew the overall crossover idea, as well as the previous two. but this new one...oh yes...Oh YES...also please tell me fluttershy will find herself on the Lor Starcutter and/or Pillar of Autumn at some point

4998136

Lor Starcutter... maybe, but it won't be a mode of transportation for Fluttershy as she'll already have something to get around by then.

Pillar of Autumn, not likely to happen. Though she could end up stopping on a ring world.

One thing for sure, there will be no Mass Effect crossover involved. I reserve my right as an author to leave out any universe sized apocalyptic scenarios.

I'm learning so far that sandbox stories aren't very popular.

4998425 well so long as she gets to the Halo-verse and sees Kirby open a can o' whoopass on Magolor Soul I'll be happy.

“This is all so horrible…” Fluttershy could already feel the tears brimming in her eyes; she couldn’t imagine something like this happening to ponies. It was a largely self inflicted tragedy, the Lylat Systems problems weren’t nearly as bad sounding despite all the violence currently going on there. It was rather easy to ignore the troubles in Lylat as she really didn’t see too much of the action, here she had actually been in the middle of it and wanted to help the Croakers and the rest of the Aniverse System dwellers.

Doubling syndrome again, I wonder what exactly is causing that? Well mostly me, but still...

Yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!

If all this yes yes yessing is about the Valhalla, prepare to be disappointed.

I'm still here. THE. CYBERPONY. LEGION. WILL. STAND. BY. YOU. ALWAYS.

I too am still here.:pinkiehappy:

Nice of you two to say that, crossovers are always hard to get people interested especially ones with a random ones every few chapters or so. Mega-crossover fic this is. Oh and there will be much more, I'm not done with crossovers from cartoons or video games. Fluttershy has much to wander through and eventually meeting Wander himself, my idea of what it means to be a star nomad is a very interesting one. This fiction is not about him though, it's all about poor battered Fluttershy as she 'Crosses The Rubicon' through multiple plotlines(Some more scarring then others) where most people already know what's going to occur there.

As far as crossovers go this one has her crossing a lot already.

I even have an idea of somehow involving a very interesting mesh of cartoon crossovers if I were to eventually make Fluttershy end up anywhere near Willy Duwitt's earth. They'd all mesh perfectly without anyone knowing that it all happens on the same planet.

It's too bad about this not having much attention, though I guess the premise is too specific to attract a wide crowd. Which is a shame since it is quite interesting. Although, at least to me, a little confusing to follow at times. Partly since a good portion of the story being narrative and Fluttershy-centric with dialogue only here and there, like at the Alderbaran>Zebes transition. And partly that apparently I'm quite bad at recognizing stuff, since I only realized she was at Zebes by the tail-end of the chapter when they were already in the escape ship. For a moment I actually thought it was Alderbaran the one blowing up. :derpytongue2: But oh well, it is still quite an enjoyable read. Looking forward for more.

Or it's not specific enough. People tend to only praise crossovers that have a recognizable and stable setting; this has no stable setting which is a problem for Fluttershy to deal with.

Fluttershy wakes up in the dark hallway lined with purple stones and the little flesh eating bats you can just run by without a thought in Super Metroid. It's kind of unremarkable and seemingly unimportant throughtout the rest of the game and not highly memorable which is exactly why I used it.

Is there an indication that you need to shoot that specific wall at any given point in Super Metroid and why does Samus know to do it at that point? Samus obviously see's or knows something that the player obviously doesn't which is why she does it instead of trying figure out how to get them back to her own ship. The Etecoons could fit through the morphball passageway but the Dachora most likely couldn't and the player wouldn't know that you could save them the first play through the game at all, obviously they knew of other ways to get into the area that Samus doens't.

With all that has happened to her thus far, how messed up do you think Fluttershy should actually be right now?

Still waiting for the Lor Starcutter and some location in the Haloverse

5160286
Well, I'd say that the lack of a specific setting is its specific setting. I find that sort of concept appealing since its basically a sense of discovery, exploration, learning, interaction, integration, etc, that remains a constant for almost all of the story. It also helps that I also like the aspect of cross-overs, mostly due to the same reasons and how things can come together when mixing up stuff, so when adding both and depending on the specifics points, I can easily get hooked.

Well, I suppose I think that since now that I look back in hindsight, I see that I could have figured it out earlier than I did. Mostly when the Etecoons and Dachoras entered the picture. As in, when it's already mentioned that there're three monkey-like creatures, a bird-like creature, and an egg, it's already too specific to not think of them and Super Metroid (or at least it looks that way to me). But it just never came to mind that it was them when I could have made the connection, until way later when it became much more easy to be silly to not realize at that point. So yeah.

Anyway... hmm, well, all things considered, she probably could be a little more messed up, but as it is it's still quite believable. It does help her that she's now not cut-off completely from her friends back home, which would be a big boon in such a situation.

Well, you got me there. Thought it was gonna be the Stiletto. No cookie for me. :ajsleepy::derpytongue2: Mostly because I thought she would be discovered while still in there. Makes me wonder just what's up with the actual Direz that no one realized yet, heh.

Heh, the moment I saw it was Popstar I knew that was gonna happen. Although I had no idea Samus made an appearance in a Kirby game, interesting. Hmm, in that case, then I can think of at least one other place she could have the coordinates of then.

5278935

Kirby's Dream Land 3 for the SNES. It was a late game for the SNES, but I still bought it and beat it and enjoyed beating it at least three times. R. O. B. also had a cameo in the game alongside a few others.

Kirby had helped Samus by putting the metroids on ice, curiously enough the metroids couldn't hurt Kirby at all. Sure they could latch on to him, but they couldn't do any damage.

My guess is the Super Mario RPG version of the mushroom kingdom is what you were thinking of.

Huh, so Whispy can just uproot himself and... pft :rainbowlaugh: Oh man, now I need to look that up.

5288441 Well, it wouldn't surprise me they couldn't do anything to him, considering as far as living beings go he's not exactly like most, to be affected by the way metroids attack.

Yep, that would be it.

Would of thought Pinkie would be a better Wondar partner from the ponies

What, no Magolor?

Ah, the Wheelies. Of all creatures ever present in the Kirby games, I've always thought those guys as among the coolest. Too bad Rainbow Dash is not around, I could totally see her wanting to race against them. :rainbowdetermined2:

Great chapter can't wait for the next one. :pinkiehappy:

woot nto the darkness in these old tv shows

Ah, a Wheelie companion huh. Wouldn't have been my first guess. It'd be like Rainbow and Tank, just in reverse, heh.

I feel troubled, are you using the universe from "Wander Over Yander" or is it just the title of the fic? Seeing some of the tags and the title have me...troubled.

You could also do a Mario Galaxy crossover, since it is in space

Heh, and once more, it's shown why you just don't mess up with Kirby, hehe... :pinkiecrazy:

5486529

Eventually both, but so far just the title.

The universe isn't always a bunch of roses you know, there are all kinds of dangers out there.

5486799

I agree that I could, but I don't think open air space traveling galleons made out of wood are on the menu. I don't feel like going in the Mario direction at this time.

Fluttershy becoming a star nomad... hmm, it'd be quite interesting though bittersweet, if it does happens, in my opinion. Well, I am somewhat fond of bittersweet... so it could go either way about what I'd think, if it happens or not, so yeah... :applejackunsure:

Anyway... so that's it for Popstar huh. I suppose it will be fun trying to guess what the next stage is before it's stated outright.

Ominous, heh. Certainly makes a contrast with Dream Land. Well, it's certainly a tough one to figure out from what it is; that or it's from something I don't know or not familiar enough, or forgot about it, that's always an option. Hmm...

Man, poor Fluttershy. I guess it'll be Mr. Wheel to the rescue then since I do not see her being able to get out of this one alone unless a third party gets involved.

Hmm, yeah, now I see that ship and whatever work it's from is something I don't know, and trying to search it up proved fruitless. Ah well, I'll wait for the reveal, heh.

Well, looks like I was half-right on both accounts. It did took third party intervention (though still think the wheelie will play a part considering Fluttershy's current condition); and while I know of TMNT, the 80's series is one I know... well, pretty much nothing. Maybe. I think I may have saw it long ago, but that is already like more than decade-long ago to remember. And almost as much that hasn't been aired too. Nowadays the only one that airs here is the 2012 version, since it's the most recent, so that's the one I'm most familiar with. Haha, ah well.

But man, now things certainly got quite hectic, and the other more accurate robots haven't even showed up again yet. Though on a happier note, the interaction between Discord and Rarity is certainly amusing. I'll admit, if he had to end up hanging out with somepony else in the meantime, Rarity wouldn't have been my first guess. But well, it works, which is what matters I guess.

To put it in perspective of just how much danger Fluttershy is in. The mutant turtles could be bitten by mousers without getting a major injury, said little robots would always eat through solid rock walls and all forms of metal to get at their targets. Fluttershy doesn't have the luxury of mutant strength and resilience.

The accuracy is natural with the Roadkill Rodneys, the foot soldier robots need Alpha-One within close proximity of them to accurately hit anything with something approaching actual competence.

I'm a fan of the several iterations of TMNT cartoons and video games.

Man, she has definitely deserved to have her next stop be a full 180 after all of this. That's like, an overdue quota or something right there. Well, of course she'd first need to get out of there first. Bothersome logic there, ain't it.

have her meet the Doctor!

Well, that happened. Honestly, I don't know if I want to continue reading this part of the story, or just skip on it and come back once it's over. Not really a fan of reading this sort of thing, at least to such an extent, even if it's happening to a fictional character. Well, far as I know the worst could have already happened, but likewise something even worse could be coming. I'll think about it...

5654608

Don't worry, Fluttershy will get her respite... after having her sanity shredded slightly from the outcome of this crossover arc.

Well, if there's something I like more that a simple cross-over, is when it goes to more than two at a time. So yeah, to me that sounds great. :pinkiehappy:

5680853

Well, I've read this far... might as well see it through to the end. Besides, this one wasn't that bad compared to last chapter. Not just in the sense of that it was more action-y without too much gore, but also the part with Alpha's inner monologue. Was certainly a breather. So I guess it's the brief respite before going out with a bang, perhaps literally considering things, haha. :pinkiecrazy:

I came here for Wander over Yonder, and left with a scarred mind. :fluttercry:

Well, there was a bang, but I guess it won't be THE bang, whatever that could it be, heh. Well, good to know the arc is almost ending, even if it feels the need to give a farewell "gift" to poor Fluttershy.

Hm, 42, gee, I wonder... :trixieshiftright: Then again...

5697316 It certainly can do that to ya, isn't it. But hey, look on the bright side, things could get better. Or worse, but let's try to be positive here.
