This story is a sequel to Sunset in Zebrica

Sunset left the human world dozens of moons ago after being driven out by her friends because of Anon-A-Miss and has embarked on a new journey through Zebrica and the rest of the world.

Wait, what's she doing with mercenaries and revolutionaries?

Wait, sunset got to equestria by using the mirror portal right? So she should be in the castle.

That will be shown as a flashback later on.

I knew there would be a sequel of your previous fic. I wonder if Sunset Shimmer will continue to evoke memories of her stay in the human world until the events of Anon-a-Miss, and if there will be an episode where it shows us what happened to Canterlot High School after she left whether the truth was revealed or not.

So this is a reference to Cuba's political turmoil between Castro's Party and Fulgencio Batista that lead the socialists to take over the country?

Well, that's going to be hard for Sunset.

"It's been a while since someone called us that, and not Stalliongradian." She said Stalliongradian with more venom than any snake from the Everfree Forest. "A pleasure to meet you, Sunset Shimmer."

Is there a difference?

That didn't sound good. Sunset swallowed the saliva that had built up in the back of her throat. In pony years, a decade must've passed since she first left to the human world. The Sunset of the past was an asshole to say the least. There must've been plenty of creatures that she had wronged.

So she wronged ponies in equestria? Who hasn’t she wronged?

"Really? What kind of business?" Sunset was too nosy for her own good. She should've stayed quiet and allowed the conversation to die.

Oh boy. Something tells me that’s gonna get her in trouble over time.

Maybe she should've written Princess Twilight.

Thanks Sherlock

Now Sunset, go out there and give them hell!

So, the region of Severyana is/was the northeasternmost province of Equestria, a nation founded by a seperate migration of ponies. It sits just east of the Crystal Empire. They are the equivalent of Russia in the real world. In the year 795 ALB, the boyars of Severyana elected Princess Celestia, the unifier of ponies, as their Tsarina, bringing Severyana into the fold of Equestria. Unfortunately, due to mismanagement by pegasi, a famine struck the region in 991 ALB. Unfortunately again, the regions of Equestria were reluctant to trade with the Severyanans, further worsening the situation. Finally, in 995, socialists under Steel Stallion launched a revolution with the backing of the people. They succeeded, and seceded from Equestria, forming the Severyanan Socialist Republic. They renamed the city of Princessyn to Stalliongrad in remembrance of Steel Stallion, who died shortly after the revolution ended. This led to the nation earning the (much easier to say) nickname of “Stalliongrad”.

So to answer the question, Severyana is the region, but Stalliongrad is the name of the nation.

very entertaining let's see how things develop! It would be funny if Celestia or Luna showed up and Sunset and you were on different sides of politics!

"Take your hat off when you're inside, it's rude."

Can't be nearly as rude as randomly making demands of complete strangers. What a bitch.

Breakfast was still delicious, even with Sunset's brain being prodded by her three Severyanian companions. Thankfully, Boris offered to help Dona Yuca clean the dishes which would finally allow Sunset to have a chance to digest. Dealing with two other ponies was much easier than dealing with three. Any more than that would just be a headache, and talking to more than five at once would just bring back bad memories. Sunset didn't need friends anyways, despite whatever protest Twilight threw her way. The unicorn's back was already bloodied from the five knives her 'friends' in the human world stabbed her with.

I really wish there were more fanfics that explained why they befriended her, because a part of me thinks that twilight practically poked at them to do it.

Sunset's grimace was hard to hide. She'd hate to have to cut her stay here short, but she also didn't want to get stuck in the middle of a war. Writing to Princess Twilight would most likely just be a waste of time, as much as Sunset wanted to.

Wouldn’t that be the best idea? She might have more information than anyone.

great chapterkeep it up cant wait for the next chapter mate:pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

Sunset winced. That was true, most of the ponies that attended command came from noble families. Most of the RMA classes she shared with Blueblood came from that course. She liked to think that they had a working, professional relationship by the time Sunset rebelled against the Princess and escaped into the human world. The spoiled Prince was one of the few ponies she could have actually called a friend.

Wait, if she could consider him a friend, then why not tell celestia that?

great chapter mate keep it up the foreign volunteers in the Waffen ss claim they fought the right enemy and history judges them as war criminals and traitors The irony is allies from 1947- 1991 had to fight the real enemy that once allied with them cantwait for the next chapter:pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

"The only good communist, is a dead one."

Really liking the story so far, would love to see where it goes. Additionally, I’m surprised you made Sunset a Twilight loyalist. Most Equestria At War fics that I’ve seen usually have Sunset as some kind of fanatical Celestia/Day Breaker worshiper who wouldn’t give a flying feather about Twilight. (Though to be completely fair I haven’t read that many involving Sunset, let alone Twilight.) Still, it’s an interesting change.

Ooh! Always love a bit of racism, adds in a nice sense of realism.

This is very intriguing!

She was interrupted by the sound of several loud cracks, causing Sunset's eyes to widen. She knew that sound, Sunset heard them almost every night back in the warehouse she called jlme in the human world.
