Looks like it would be a bad ending for Belle and Cortland, seeing as the narrative cut off there. Certainly the more poetic place to do so.

This was fantastic! You did a great job capturing the Western mood, and the Western ending of course. Every little detail was interesting, and honestly, I would have been fine if the story was just about them hanging around town; the shootout was a cherry on top. The bits hinting at this being the future of the show's continuity are intriguing too.

Wow that’s was GREAT
The “western-meets-Bonnie- and-Clyde” is strong with this one. Oh man, just the beginning itself is wonderful, but then the end is just *muah* so good. Rare + AJ are the perfect candidates for something like this, and you wrote their characters oh so well. 
Now, I’ll go ahead and get this out there, I really don’t ship it, but I seriously enjoyed this for all the other reasons. Haha, it was even better than I expected! K, I’m done now.

Damn, you really do have a knack for organic worldbuilding that weaves its way seamlessly into a story. Also a knack for action scenes and writing irreverent characters. I loved every moment of this.

A pair of bank robbing lovers named B. and C.? Yeah, there was only one way this could go. Though I do have to wonder what happened to depose Twilight. Outside the story's scope, yes, but you'd think all those international friendships would be worth something after a Dust Bowl.
But, again, not the point of the story. Lovely final snapshot of one heck of a power couple. Thank you for it.
