"Show my head to the people, it is worth seeing." - Georges Danton

Twilight is a learned soul, and a learned soul is a busy soul, and a busy soul might have forgotten that it's Mother's Day this weekend.

Thankfully, Celestia comes to the rescue.

Little late for Mother's Day but still a nice read:heart:

This is incredibly sweet, Gara. I loved it!

“Well, the Prime Minister back then was a child of mine, and she decided that it would be wise to select my firstborn’s birthday as the one we’d celebrate,” Celestia explained, letting out a contented little noise. “Honestly, I’d much rather have it in May or June but… fate was not nearly that kind.”

Okay. THIS demands more be done with it. Celestia being a mom in the real sense isn't new. But it's nice to see a new spin on it.

:fluttercry::fluttershbad: This is sad. It's a good story, but actually touching on Celestia admitting that she hasn't had a mother's day gift is sad to me.

I think it's worse that Celestia hasn't had a Mother's Day gift in a very long time. Don't forget that she has been a mother before, so she knows the joys of getting one.

Just not for a super long time.

Why not publish this story closer to or on Mother's Day?

Gara, you're absolutely the best. I don't care it's nowhere near mothers day, this was just so sweet and heartwarming. Good job.

Congratulations on making featured! Short and sweet, well done!

This was really sweet! I knew it was coming, but it warmed my heart when Twilight gave Celestia her Mother's Day gift.

Glad y'all enjoyed it. Always a pleasure to read these comments.

Awww.

You see, this is what I call genuinely wholesome and sweet, without feeling at all saccharine. A testament to your talent, Gara

Oh yes, second that!

10319762 Oh, it's okay. I still enjoyed the story nonetheless. I wish I had your quality of writing. Keep it up:heart:

An excellent mix of sweet and somber touches. The prose in this one was some fine stuff too.

Though, who is the artist behind the masterful cover art you have?

“I… I love you,” she said.

Celestia, as a millenia-old ageless princess of a grand nation, saying it like this – a hint of hesitation that could barely hold back the explosion of raw, heartfelt emotion, something that she probably hasn't had in centuries...

It really makes this line great.

Adorable young Twilight stories are good for the soul, this one especially. And if you go for the idea that Twilight is actually the descendant of at least one of the sisters (though after a millennium, which ponies aren't?) makes this even sweeter. Thank you for it.
