Lorraine needs a plushie? Whats the record between first showing of Autumn Blaze, and her plush appearing? 5 days due to being able to start with an existing pony base then only needing a couple of attempts to get an acceptable result?
I really like that Soft Bot exoframe from Japan. just a pity noones had the idea of building it as a framework for articulated plushies yet. Would be great combined with a Pi AI for half decent responses? Then again, Lorraine just needs something to hug when Johns not around.
Giants of Flame are Titans? I wonder if Mount Aeris is one? Then theres those Gate Sphinx? In the pictograph was the avian a Roc, Griffon God, or something else?

Giants of Flame are literally giant "humanoid" statues. You'd know when you saw one. As to what it was fighting, it was fighting a "Strange Creature."
The nightmare reminds me of the painter girl,
"I see. We are much alike.
Twill be a cold, dark, and very gentle place.
And one day, it will make someone a goodly home.
Then I will name this painting "Ash"."
Lorraine being pissed with Luna? Totally understandable. AJ becoming a better pony's good. But the Nightmare, Celestia and the rest of royalty? That's one big, giant plot hole. Specially with the part about Luna being created by her.
Luna, as far as we knew from the show cannon, grew resentful of Celestia due to being shunned by the population they cared about, grew resentful and jealous, decided to plunge the world in eternal darkness to try and finally be recognized, even if by fear. Despair took her to it, possessed by the Nightmare or doing it of her own volition.
But Celestia feels bad for having to banish her, the elements forgave her, she was accepted back.
Except that... All the other Royals, Celestia included, just decided to bash her because for her someone that gets great power has to live up to it. You know, THE EXACT SAME THING the Nightmare just punished her for not doing? There's some grade-A hypocrisy going on there. The same Nightmare that Created Luna. Not raised, created. All the failures if character Luna has were imparted upon her by the Nightmare, her very nature, the essence of her being. Still, apparently the creator, the Mother, decided that she should punish the daughter for falling into despair when her sister dismissed her concerns. And then call her a child when she's resentful, and punish her again from demanding from another blessed the same thing that was demanded from her - to uphold her gift and duty, screw whatever she feels or want. Gods being assholes is a known quality, but the mortals choosing to do the same deserve nothing but contempt.
Celestia actually siding with the Nightmare when she was the one to ignore her sister's plight and bask in the adoration on ponies back then? That's throwing away her side of the reunion. How can she have felt bad for banishing her sister when this time she ignores her demanding exactly what was demanded of her? How can she claim to be family and berate her sister for demanding what she had, as far as we have shown, been demanded the same for being chosen by fate? She's spitting on that which took her sister from her for a thousand years, siding with others before family, again. Unless your objective is to show Celestia learnt absolutely nothing from a thousand years of solitude, this is quite wrong.
Similarly goes to Twilight. She saved Luna from the resentment and nightmare she had plunged herself in. Now she literally tells her senior royal to shut up in her plea for another NOT to fall to the same trap, as far as Twilight knows? She's Lorraine's friend, but she too just spit into Luna's friendship like that.
Cadence and Shining also went against everything that makes a cohesive government and shown they don't care what Luna thinks, she should be a good girl and do what others think, fuck her beliefs.
Honestly, if Luna just takes this like a kicked puppy then you just destroyed any hope she has any trait of strong character. She's being excluded and denied, accused of being in the wrong for her beliefs by her friends and family... Just like a thousand years ago, perhaps?
So yeah, either you want everyone to come across as assholes and/or hypocrites, specially the Nightmare, or there's something very, very wrong going on.
Edit: oh, and the Nightmare also behaves like a bigoted child. Lorraine's not suffering because others were demanding, she's suffering because she didn't know any healthy way to deal with that. Putting the blame onto others is escapism perfectly valid for a person, but a goddess that dares to say she cares? That one deserves no respect at all.

This is not canon Luna. (You'll actually get to see Luna's perspective next chapter.) This Luna is much more a spoiled brat who can't handle power, and got pissy for not getting enough attention. Despair has nothing to do with Luna's character.

I thought it was obvious that we chucked canon out the window at this point. Look at Luna's behavior, she wanted Lorraine to suck it up and accept her "destiny" despite the fact that the noodle dragon's health was declining due to the stress.
Did you miss the part where Lorraine got a stress induced injury and Luna not even asking if Lorraine was alright? Luna is more concerned with the fact that Lorraine's going to The Nightmare for help rather than offering any help herself.

Further cannon? Sure, that went through the window a long time ago. The very basis of why everything began in the series? Why would we think that had changed if you don't tell us?
On Luna caring about her going to the Nightmare, makes a LOT of sense if, as everything indicates until now including Luna's speech, you consider that Luna sees the Nightmare as an entity that possessed her in a moment of weakness. Also that one that's blessed by Fate MUST use that gift. Luna could be a paragon of Heroism and that would still make plenty of sense, what's a stress injury compared to falling to the Nightmare? Bigger problems first, small injuries latter. Also Solaire, why would she worry when there was the Sun God there to heal her? Then the Nightmare, there wasn't a big enough window there for her to sweat about the "small stuff", at least it sounded like that.
Edit: To be clear, this Luna came across as someone who thinks Power = Responsibility, you wanting it or not. If you've been given power by Fate you have the Duty to use and live up to it, your desires secondary to that. A form of Noblesse Oblige, in a way. That's the only thing that explains how quick and decisive they were to come to their help at the begining, and how fast they punished AJ. Being a Luck Dragon means being Royalty, and Royalty has Duties they can't leave to the side.
10254188
Well... then why the heck she exists? The entire basis of Luna's character was that fall. If she's a Spoiled Brat who can't handle power - and was specifically created by a god to be like that, if what Celestia says it's true - then she's a one-dimensional character only in the story for us to hate? Or are we to look at her with pity? What redeeming qualities would such a character have? What growth that doesn't become irrelevant if a thousand years of social isolation plus being purified by the elements mean nothing?
Not to mention that paints the Nightmare as absolutely EVIL, if she created a servant to be not fit, to fail and be punished, again and again? What kindness is there in a goddess like that? How can Celestia be so blind as to do nothing to help her very sister against her tormentor? Who is Luna, if created to suffer?

The gods had no say on what their servants would be like as they valued free will and wanted to work around the hopes and desires of their 'offspring' (for example the description of Solaire's Giants). Luna became frustrated despite the multitude of tasks The Nightmare let her do because she wasn't receiving instant gratification from the populace especially when compared to Celestia's more public role.
Yeah, the inside of your own head can be a scary place
Mobius ey
Looks like Alastor has some connection to that
