Decades from now, Twilight and her friends will all be in different positions, exploring new career paths, and still remaining friends throughout it all.
But there was a moment one year after Twilight's coronation where there was a hint of doubt if their friendships were over. Pinkie, the rest of the Mane 6, and Starlight, had the anniversary sneak up on them. With life getting crazier for all of them, the day came as a surprise. They know they have to do something about it. Given Pinkie's in the group, there's only one way to celebrate the day.
This is the story of a day that ended up being crucial for their friendships, whenever they realized it or not.

And, unknown to everypony, Discord causes the permanent downfall of Equestria and the deaths of most of its ponies, because he wasn't stoned for pulling the same stunt he did before, which he wasn't punished for. Cause he ends up doing it again and the heroes are unable fo reverse it.

Excellent job on this one-shot. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up were all well done in all the right places. I could VERY easily see this being a mid-to-late Season 10 episode (assuming there WAS a Season 10 outside the comics). I particularly liked the party preparations as well as Twilight's chat with Ember and the bits of foreshadowing concerning what we saw nineteen years after THIS story is set.

This was a nice and sweet story. If I have one major complaint, it's that with the number of characters, it was hard to balance them all. Starlight especially fell by the wayside. I didn't even realize she was at the party until she spoke.
