Piquo Pie

I love psychology and writing. I tend to write origional/experimental stories. I am the head of the School for New Writers and the EFNW writing track. My new favorite quote is "Why so ˈsir-ē-əs?"

A thousand years ago Equestria was plunged into darkness for 3 days. Crops froze, accidents plagued the land, and finally; Celestial bodies fought for the fate of the world. But across the globe the Zebra's experienced something quite different. Zecora knows the legends, and has three little foals to share the tale with.

AU Notes: The African legends and names I used are real and links can be found at the end of the chapter.

Neat. I like the idea of eternal night in Equestria causing eternal day in other parts of the world. Most people tend to take it for granted that when the sisters raise or lower the sun or moon it applies to the whole world. Be interesting if they were actually rotating them around the planet.

Thank you, though I take it you havent red it yet?

...no, I read it. Did I miss something?

No, the way I read your comment I thought you were commenting on the idea but hadn't read it.

Ah. The bits with the CMC are cute and funny and I liked the legend. "Just so" sorts of stories always appeal to me. How the leopard got his spots and so on. But what I like even more in fanfic is when people take something that's been established in the canon and do a new and interesting twist on it, which is why this piece really stood out to me, so I just commented on that first. :P

That means a lot, your one of the 3-4 writers who helped inspire me. Your actually the first author I began following on EQD when I first got in to fiction.

So really, thank you.

Well I enjoyed this a lot. I guess I'm a lot like Uncle up there in I love legends and lore like this so.... yeah it's all good. Sadly if there was some form of constructive crit I could give it's locked up in my head... darn you all night reading sessions... my brain needs sleep to function.

All I can say is, well done... and Zecora deserves more love. That's all.

:pinkiehappy:

She is my favorite char from the show followed by AJ. I am very happy with the fic and hope to get it on EQD soon, but I think I had some technical problems.

Still it is nice to know that I made something that was hard to critiasize, even if it was after a long night.

Does this fic rock?
Do I desire more?
:pinkiehappy: YES

Haha, really though, I love the way you blended legends and stories with the logical idea that eternal day happened too. Also, I love Zecora.

I am, actually working on getting it EQD ready. Thanks for vote of confidence. Try my Trixie fic if you like the style.

Very intriguing. Nice take on the NMM idea too.

Fascinating little story, excellent job.

7770699 You're welcome

The smoke from the fire had attracted a small swarm.....of..... rare wasps. The wasps attempted to lay their eggs in both the burned hut and the accompanying ponies. Zecora had to bring out a special bug repellant which Fluttershy fanned at them.

As sunset approached, with fires out and fillies fed, brownies chased and forgiveness plead, all five equines collapsed upon the floor, freshly cleaned of both tree sap and sweat.

Pled versus pleaded

Anyone notice the banishment of “pled” about 5 years or so ago? The newspapers used to say “The defendant pled not guilty.” Suddenly, everything became “pleaded.” I contend that this is an improper imposition of some kind of twisted “grammar correctness,” except it is incorrect. “Pled” is a less emotional word than “pleaded”. I plead when I am begging for something. Unless the defendant is on his knees weeping, he is not pleading, he is entering a plea. In the past tense, he pled, not pleaded. What do you think?
