why do i have a feeling opal actualy hit the nail on the head without fully realising it? i mean thats cartoon physics 101 but just seems like gummy wouldn't say anything if he did have a crush on winona (irealise i probably mispelt that)

Add in the dialog and idea of this story and I laughed for a good five minutes before I could review.

Whenever I read Angel's dialogue, sometimes he has a British accent, and sometimes he has a young, American one. I've been driving myself crazy throughout the whole thing.

Strange. I never really noticed his dialogue being especially... British. it was always a somewhat generic not-quite-New-York or something. Like a lighter version og John Enos on World's Dumbest.
Next chapter, Angel'll be making pudding at 4am. It's weird to say this, but poor Angel, he just wants to get laid.
Another wonderful chapter, though it does sorely lack for dirty jokes. Winona and Gummy already dating was a great twist to a situation I had initially called (knew it'd be Gummy). Then you make him Dapper Gummy, alligator of the immense intellect, which reminded me a lot of Fluttershy's Bad Hare Day, but different.
I was with Angel in worrying about AB's 'special herbs', who knows what Zecora's growing out in the woods.
Regarding accents, I hear Angel with a Bronx accent and Gummy with a very proper British one; Opal and Winona are the same as their owners, maybe a bit exaggerated.

I had Opal pegged as "Rarity with more snark" and Winona as "Not very accented country gal". So, you're right there. And on with Angel as well. Gummy... could be anything as long as he sounds classy. he is, after all, a dapper fellow.
Next chapter talks about the missing two pets.

In my head, Winona is a mix of AJ and Pinkie, so the accent is light just due to the speed; any heavier and you wouldn't be able to understand her.
Oh, forgot to add Gummy, the Big Mac of alligators.
I had a feeling this plan of Opal and Angel's would come back to bite them, but I didn't think it would so quickly...or in quite this manner.

Anyone who has known me for a while knows I am big on Gummy/Winona. I wasn't even necessarily thinking Angel/Opal until I compared them to toher couples I like (Trixie/Gilda and Diamond Tiara/Silver Spoon) and realized I have a knack for making jerks less jerky by putting them together. The big reveal was always going to be that Gummy and Winona have been in love forever. The trick was to make it extra funny. By breaking the joke Angel and Opal were trying to play I just made it that much more funny. What they thought was the most impossible match is actually one that has been present longer than their own.

Oh, and I wanted to add, the "dirty jokes" in this chapter come from the reiteration of the "noodle implements" from last chapter, and the implication of how they will be used for kinky happy sexy fun time.

Poor Tank, indeed. He is also a funny - in a cringing sort of way - new way of depicting a quiet person: someone who can speak and likes to do so, but is slow, and hence never gets a word out before interrupted. They sure exist in real life, but I can't remember when I saw one in literature the last time.

And Owlowiscious may or may not be doing it on purpose. He DOES like to hear himself talk. And he rather DOES have a lot of nice things to say about Tank, unbidden and often over the level of need. But night is night and day is day and no tortoise would suffer under the cold light of the moon any more than an owl could bear the harsh glow of the sun more than once in a torturous while. Like cursed Davy Jones, apart more than together.

Thanks. I sort of set it up earlier. In "Elements of Discord" actually. She just makes the right comment after reading a scene withou even realizing. I haven't done a lot with "wild magical talents" bit I've pinpointed three non-unicorns with what ought to be unicorn skills, Ditzy, Pinkie and Bad Apple (he can only read sevens in a deck of cards because that was the first activation cue he ever used; were he a unicorn he could eventually train his skill until he could read every book in a library at the same time by touching the building.)
