She's a bit of a mysterious character but I think I've pieced some things together.
Not that spyro is like super story heavy to start with lol.

Normally I hate the guide stuff in stories, but instead of having a godly guide, he is the guide this time which makes it slightly more interessting. I just hope the possible knowledge about everything (guidebook) isn't getting annoying or taking the fun out of certain stuff.
I think I would also like it more if the story has to adapt to the new appearing Spyro world and not if this is an already existing Spyro Version of Equestria.
Well it wasn't so bad this time, normally I hate this traditionally first and often long "merchant" chapter. I often like it if they try something new for this. However I only start judging the story after a few chapters to give you some time to build the world or whatever.
Since I don't see any good way to do it after getting so many bad examples, I also hope that his friends aren't joining him and that if the characters they were appear there for some reason that they are the real once.
Then again different characters could act in the same role, but maybe it's easier to make us liking them if we know them already.
I have always been a fan of Elora so this looks interesting. I can't wait to see more.

It reached its 20th anniversary last month and Rare added a Bear an Bird figurehrad to Sea of Thieves, announced a statue from some website (over $400 USD though) and announced plans to release a totaku figure, and even gave a silhouette tease of it.
Who knows... Maybe they'll jump on the remaster-train and do Banjo-Kazooie.

Sunny will play a Sparx like role in the story for Elora.
Yes Elora will gain a few magic spells from the book later on, such as a healing spell, a spell of swiftness and a few more. Nothing overpowered but will compliment Spike's more in your face abilities.

They should have gotten one calmer chapter, no need to rush with the adventure.
This always feels odd if they are interrupted this way.
They come back from a fightz, say hello and then somewhere else, someone is eaten by a monster.
I like it that they went without her first even if they aren't really allowed to tell her to stay there I think, good thing she wasn't listening. That way it felt less uhhmm typicall and rushed with the fight.
and for whatever reason Spike is going to be as fast as her isn't he?, I think he should catch up later. I get it that he is the hero here, but he still needs training and Speed can still be something that's her thing.
Well it should be fine as long as you aren't planning to put adventure after adventure after adventure without showing anything else. I'M not good with words here at least not in english, but I think there shouldn't be non stop problems happening every single day there. It's more about what is going to happen in the future than what you are doing at the moment.
Overall, I have to say that I really like this story and only wish for it to get close to something I could call perfect.
