Very heavily inspired by Far Cry 5.
Welcome to Happy Town. A place where there's no sadness or anger. Only smiles and sunshine. It's paradise.
For Twilight Sparkle and Spike however, it's more than it let's on.
Summoned by the cutie map, Twilight must discover the truth behind the town she's now forced to call home—and who the supposed prophet known as Happy Townscolt really is.
Yeah, if this was inspired by Far Cry 5, I'm expecting drugged up ponies and drakes soon. Just hopefully, this won't end in nuclear or in Equestria balefire warfare like the damned game did.
Nice save, Twi.
Yep, this is all going to end in Balefire...
What, no Starlight Glimmer?
9064878 Starlight was unavailable for comment. A spokespony for her, however, said that she does not endorse reusing her ideas of brainwashed towns. At least, not without her consent.
New home?! Uh oh...
Well, this is frightening.
...Yeah, so, I think Twilight needs to teleport away. Now.
Place just keeps on getting creepier by the bloody chapter... Also, to annoy you, ya jerk, considering where the chapter title comes from...
Ah evil doomsday cult... Where's a inquisitor or a Paladin when you need one...
Twilight. LEAVE. NOW.
9073132 Funny, the chapter I'm writing briefly explores such a thing at the start.

So, will this end with Happy turning out to be right about the apocalypse and Twilight is trapped with him in a bunker, or will he let her go only for post-hypnotic programming to kick in and she murders her friends?
9074388 Neither. The story's ending is something that deviates completely from the game.

Oh good
Not sure if Celly showing up is a good thing, might accelerate plans further...
This mare is obviously drugged up. And Twilight's eaten it too.
Hey, sorry about dropping of the face of the Earth like that. It's a bad habit of mine; leaving this site for months at a time.
With that being said, I am happy to report that I did enjoy this first chapter and look forward to reading the rest at my inconsistent pace. I do however think that the ending of this one was a little bit rushed (mainly the Summer Solstice introduction, but that's probably because of the hyperactive nature you're going for).
As someone who as never played any of the Far Cry series and only knows the basic premise of 5,4,3 and primal, I get a more We Happy Few vibe. Not a complaint, just a observation.
