In the description you called spitfire spirfire

8941056
Thanks for that. The red squiggly lines of salvation didn't catch that for some reason.

Ow. Right in the feels.

Spitfire nodded. “She was, after a screw up like that I had no choice but to kick her out. But before she left that day I told her of the potential I sew in her, that I thought she could make a great Wonderbolt if she put her all into it, but if she wanted another shot she would have to start at the bottom like everyone else,” Spitfire rose her hoof up to block the sun from her eyes, as she continued to watch Lighting Dust soared higher with her wingmate. Both of them circling and danced around each other as they passed through one cloud ring after another. “She didn’t make the cut last year, and I thought that would be the last I ever saw of her. There are not many who can stand to fail so close to their dreams yet still have the strength to try again from the bottom, but she did. She came back more confident and determined then I’ve ever seen her, and now she’s back where she belongs,”

Anyway, a mistake I noticed. sew=saw

And now Twilight realizes with her school she ruined Dash's dream

And also the whole saving the world thing.

Good story! It pointed out a problem with twilight's school. Can't wait to read more of your writing!

So basicly because rainbow dash didnt ignore everything else, all of her other commitments, shes fired?

8941099
That is one way of looking at it, yes. However, I would say that everyone has commitments they have to balance around their jobs, but if you can't balance your life and your job you can't be surprised when your boss fines someone more dependable, and dedicated, to replace you.

Hmm, so getting canned from a royal agency for not being there because of service to the royals that is certainly a interesting way to be fired.

8941193
That's politics for you.

8941193
If you're in the airforce, and you're supposed to be fixing and flying planes, they're going to kick you out if you're not getting any repairs done or missing scheduled flights because you're off gallivanting about with the navy and focus on their boats and submarines.

8941219
Among the main six Rainbow is the only one I can see who wouldn't be able to work at the school without sacrificing her job. Both Applejack and Rarity have the option of hiring help at their jobs, so even with pay from the school they would nearly be working for free. :rainbowlaugh:

Also does the school teach more then friendship?

Well, Twilight never got her school accredited, or whatever the pony version of that is, so who knows. For all we know they are teaching the non ponies kids how to best serve the master race... or maybe not.

I like to imagine the behind the scenes built up to this firing and to find a way do it in a way that doesn't come across as lets say a insult or slight to a princess must have been interesting though.

Couldn’t she get a note from her monarch excusing her absence? Actually I can just see that, take the classic version and just insert new words...
“excuse me miss (captain), sorry I’m late, my mother (ruler) had to take me to the dentist (world threatening crisis)...

8941120
I understand that in real life, but this fic made it sound like she wanted complete dedication

8941099
It is possible to be loyal to fault, after all.

8941205
More like bureaucracy.

Every single Wonderbolt should be fired from the Wonderbolts as well. They're pure scum.

First she expells poor Dusty and now even Dashie?
No wonder that the Wonderbolts are that useless, all their best fliers get kicked out.

Incompetent Spitfire should retire.

But this time there could be no distraction, no teaching, no cutie map, just the goal. And when she got back to where she belonged she would hold onto it, not like a life raft, but like air. It would be the very thing she needed to live. Her eyes moved back to where Lighting Dust was making her landing, and groups of ponies were congratulating Lighting and her partner on a job well done. “It took you two tries to get back,” Rainbow smirked. “I’ll do it in one,”

I believe in you Dash .

There was this fanfic where Rainbow Dash decided to decline the Wonderbolts spot. Wouldn't be surprising.

So remember kids, If you're part of a military group, do not get a full-time job somewhere else or your commanding officers will give you the boot.:rainbowderp:

Y'know, this would've been easily avoided if Twilight bothered to hire some substitute teachers (something that even private schools IRL have), but she didn't.

Wind Rider is going to get the last laugh.

Eh, not sure about this.

so basically at the end of this rainbow learned nothing she's going to go back to trying to be a wonderbolt but she cant go to twilight and tell her she quits being a teacher her loyalty wont let her and even then she would still have to go out and fix friendship problems and save the world

9198076
That's why Spitfire more or less said, when you are done with the other stuff than apply.

9198648
but see her loyalty prevents her from quitting the school and her pride is going to make her go back to the recruitment office thus effectively putting her in the same situation she's in now trying to juggle two different careers along with hero duties and the only time she's be free of those duties is either when they run out of enemies or she's too old to be a hero anymore and by then she wont be much of a flyer

9199438
While Rainbow is a loyal pony, she isn't loyal to the detriment of her character. Much like how Rarity, element of generosity, doesn't give away dresses she makes because she generous. Rainbow is smart enough to see that doing what you suggest would just put her back to where she began. At least that's my interpretation.

8941278
Sure, but that wouldn't solve anything, would it?
What good is an employee who doesn't show up for work?

10330430
Bro, chill. It's just a story and you are reading WAY too much into it.

Bringing Lightning Dust back was inexcusable

You missed the point with Lightning Dust. Bringing her back was to show the different types of motivation between the two, but saying that makes her evil is... rather childish.

But whatever. Thanks for reading it at the very least.
