I can tell you this at least. The spell wasn't aimed directly at her. The spell was a side effect of trying to stop the bats. This was even in the show. I allowed some events to play out as normal, as you can see throughout my entire series. This was just one of them, although I suppose not mentioning that about that particular part previously was a small mistake on my part.
