You know, in the show I wish they'd focus on the Earth Pony aspects of the Alicorns. It's always Pegasus this or Unicorn that. They always leave out what they gain from the Earth Pony part.

It probably isn’t as prominent as the unicorn and pegasus aspects. It’s most likely just increased physical strength.

That's the way I usually understood it. While both Unicorns and Pegasi both have physical differences that allow for their specific magics, Earth ponies are generally just known to be stronger, have more endurance, or be more durable than the other races.. I still haven't written too much of the next chapter, so might touch upon Starlight having trouble with these new magics, such as the increased strength, and maybe an addition to the earth pony magic that you'll all have to wait and see!

Plus, they could divide the work between them. Remember the rough time Twilight was having in that one episode with all the paperwork? It might make the job go faster and easier if she has a friend there to share the burden.

Very good point, I actually hadn't thought about that. There are a lot of things I tend to forget about or not think about when writing these stories. Afterwards I'll always remember something, or see something like your comments and think, 'Wow, it would have been so much better if it had been done this way.'
This story was a test run in the sense where i was wondering if people would enjoy my writing style, and since people are, like yourself, I'll be putting more effort into my stories. Instead of the usual 1k-2k word chapters, you'll hopefully see chapters in the range of 5k or more. Also, Ill end this comment with this.
I really do hope you are enjoying/enjoyed the story. it makes me rather happy that people are enjoying it, especially considering this was my first attempt at fanfiction story. So Thank you!

I do enjoy your stuff.
I never did see any problem with Starlight eventually earning the wings, like others apparently do. I may be biased, though, when it comes to her. She's the character that got me into the show. So she will always be best pony to me.
I especially love the relationship she has developed with Twilight over the last two seasons. It's actually one of the few ships I support.

I don't really see an issue with it either, I know that some of the fandom might not agree, but Starlight has more than proved herself to be ready/worthy for the ascension to princess. I don't know, just the idea of Starlight becoming an Alicorn has always been there, considering her affinity for magic. also, For me, It was Twilight that got me into the show, But for some reason i just enjoy Starlight's story and personality more, which is why when she became Twilight's pupil and started showing up in more episodes, she quickly became my favorite.
As for the ship with Twilight. I agree. The way they interact is just cute to me. Also, I'm really glad you enjoy the Story!

I keep thinking that when Starlight finally deals with Chrysalis, one way or another, something big is going to happen with her. Just the way they are drawing this out makes me think that. If not wings (which I am hoping for), maybe at least the creation of a new element for her and a chair at the Friendship Map.

And totally in the realm of possibility. Everytime the two are in an episode together, they always do something that supports this ship. Whether it be all the hugs, touching moments between the two, or the obvious jealously she had that Trixie was going with Starlight and not her. 😊

Those were the some of the reasons as to why I decided to end this story the way I did. Both of them are virtually inseparable in a friendship sense. Looking at Season 7 as well, there were multiple nods that looked as if they were crushing on each other. The season priemere comes to mind, with both of them saying that they weren't ready for Starlight to leave. The Daybreaker incident as well. Twilight basically followed Starlight's every move by using the spell, and seemed more nervous than she needed to be with performing that music box spell. It just seemed fitting!
I may be biased though, as it's one of my favorite ships as well!

This is an absolutely spectacular story. You get an upvote, a fave and your story has been relocated from the "Submissions" folder to the "Starlight Glimmer x Twilight Sparkle" folder in the "Lesbian Starlight Glimmer" group.
A few mistakes here and there. Some editing would help with that. And Starlight was a little quick to tear up, wasn't she? Don't remember her being that... emotional? Mushy? Sensible?
Oh, and on a more funny note: She's going blind and, rightfully so, starts to freak out. Twilights reaction? “Don’t worry, that’s normal!” I somehow imagine Starlight screeching, at the top of her lungs: "Why didn't you say that before we started?!"

I just started reading this story.
While I like the general idea, the execution seems a bit rushed.
It was strange when Starlight suddenly had tears in her eyes because she haven't seen Sunburst in a while. I mean, she's causally planning a trip to Crystal Empire in the afternoon, it's not like it's hard for them to meet. Tears felt out of place.
I also find it weird that the Princesses felt it was necessary to downright lie to Starlight to make her partake in the spell. It doesn't strike me as a wise decision to make somepony an alicorn without asking their permission first.

So basically Celestia had Twilight lie to Starlight and danced around the reveal of being an alicorn.
Yeah, I’m gonna be honest, all three of them are in the wrong here. Celestia for convincing Twilight to lie as it just caused Starlight to freak out, Twilight for lying and going along with it, and Starlight for snapping at Twilight. Although all three of them do seem to have reasons for their behaviors.
