This story is a sequel to The Celebration
After the events of the Summer Sun Celebration, Starlight, now an Alicorn, must learn what her new responsibilities mean for her and her life. She will run into problems along the way to becoming a full fledged princess, as well as everything that comes during and after the coronation.
Riots, threats of exile, magical problems. Almost nothing goes according to plan. Can she endure all the hardships ahead?

The great thing about the two together is that it fits what was said in the show. Twilight mentioned to Starlight when they first met, that her magic is stronger due to the friendships she made. You could say that in this story, Starlight, the Princess of Magic, is stronger thanks to being with Twilight, the Princess of Friendship.
It shows how right Twilight was then.
They are perfect together.
Great start I am really looking forward to reading this story I hope it will all work out in the end for Starlight but I will just have to wait and see.

Very. They have a much bigger part to play throughout this story as well. This story will have much more behind it than my first one. There will be more than just one plot point across the many chapters I have written, so expect to see the snooty nobles return later on.
Also, quick point. I've seen stories where Blueblood has been painted as a selfish jerk with no empathy for anyone but himself. These nobles are SO much worse than that. Just some quick context for the future chapters. next one can be expected this coming weekend or early next week depending on how my schedule works with me getting time to release the chapter or not. I still need to proofread it.

Maybe, maybe not. If you really want to know what's going with them behind the scenes, I was thinking of putting up a series of side stories to go with this one and explain the goings on of the nobles, But before I do, I want to make sure the interest is there for it. They may also reveal the whole reason why the nobles hate Starlight so much, backstory and so on. If enough interest is there, You'll see exactly what happened to the nobles after they left. I eluded to it already during Starlight and Twilight's talk after the ceremony.

That does sound interesting. Honestly I just assumed it was because they weren’t getting what they want, but apparently there’s more to it than that.
On a semi-related note, I’m not really fond of the idea of Twilight and Starlight having guards but it’s about what I expected given the nobles’ behavior. And it’s not like they won’t have privacy since I doubt they’ll be under that strict of a guard or whatever. But what do I know?

There's a lot going on behind the doors of the noble houses. I won't reveal too much unless the interest for a side story is there, but their hatred for Starlight goes all the way to before she had even started running her village.
As for the guards, yea it's kind of out there with Twilight and her friends kind of being the most OP thing in Equestria, but unfortunately, not every problem can be solved by shooting rainbows at it.

I actually have a rewrite coming along right now. I wasn't particularly happy with the way the story was originally going in my head, so instead of completely removing this, I left it up until I could actually start putting a better and more well thought out story. When I first started, most of my ideas were from long nights when I stayed up late doing assignments and projects for college. It was mostly written in a zombie like state, at least this story was. I want to get at least 3 or 4 total chapters finished so I have some fallback in case I need extra time writing.
