Well, seeing as the creators of the episode feel that Rainbow was at fault, and so do I, I think the fic is just fine the way it is. All Rainbow had to do was be honest to Pinkie instead of parleying off all her goodies to others, and this unfortunate situation could've been avoided. She knows what Pinkie is like, and even accepted blame at the end of the episode without hesitation, so even if I did write her 'pleading her case', it would go against canon. Anyway, thank you for reading and commenting.
