This reminds me at this one fic, sadly forgot the name, where a human "replaced" Twilight Sparkle in the moment she landed with Spike in Ponyville for the very first time before NMM escaped without ever knowing why. But because this human acted so much differently then the normal Twilight and he didn't want to "ruin the show" (Or at least I think he knew MLP, if I remember it correctly) he restricted his contact with others at first. But Spike was suspicious from the first day, because this "Twilight" didn't act like her at all anymore.
I'm curious to see when someone will notice that this isn't really "Celestia", but an imposter. The biggest problem with such acts is when you do or say things that are very "out of character". The farce can already end for Liam when he simply doesn't remember something important.
But I wonder...
1. Will he be able to keep Twilight and her friends in the dark, espeically Twilight?
2. When Discord said that he sent a "replacement" I immediately got the impression that he might have switched places of their souls. Liam can now live the life of an immortal princess and Celestia lives now the life of a male human teenager with a drug addicted mother as the only social contact.
Well, should that be the case I hope Celestia won't do something insanely stupid that would bring her new body into peril.
I will track this story for now. I'm interested to see where this is going.
