I'll take that as a maybe I read fics liekt his and the guilty party never gets it. Why..I no idea.
So many questions, so many opportunities, so much potential... I can't wait to see where this goes and whether or not my predictions and preferences are real
Firstly, I hope that they find that group of dragons that did this. We know they have names of at least one of them, Goliath (the red one--thank God that you decided with a OC instead of Garble when you said a red dragon). Hell, even have Ember and Torch find out about what happened to Spike. Go easy on Amethyst, I think that she did have some feeling for Spike even if ultimately it was all a farce. Goliath needs to take care of his mates better, then he wouldn't have that kind of scenario that she dates another dragon just to make him jealous and want her back.
Secondly, I have to say it because I'm a fanatic of Sparity, so bitch at me if you want for this. Just remember, I know already first hand that Rarity's with someone else, and Spike was with someone else before the beat down, so I already knew Sparity wasn't happening. Here goes: Rarity didn't see nothing romantic happening between her and Spike enough that she hooked up with some random unicorn stallion, but cares about Spike in a family sort of matter that she's willing to KILL her friend's ex---Damn...
Part of me would be thinking 'You're such a f------g hyprocrite Rarity' but another part of me says "WAY TO GO!! Do you need an accomplice

Related to that, I have a feeling that even though Celestia and Luna are trying their hardest to prevent what could be seen as a possible act of war because I'm pretty sure at least three of them are comtemplating violent gory murder and overkill to send a message--which could easily be answered by a bunch of dragons going after Canterlot in retaliation, some sort of retribution has to be done.
Finally, Spike you are a damn dragon. It may take a bit of time, but you better recover stronger than ever. Whatever creature that earns the right to be Spike's special somecreature has to be someone that you have to hang on to---probably ain't too few of mates with that kind of fotitude these days.
....just leave out the possible "Prince" stigma so you don't get a golddigger...

Anyway, I really hope that they catch the bastards that did this to Spike. And well, I'm starting to turn on Amethyst as well--she's as guilty as Goliath and the rest of his crew. So whatever happens to her is exclusively because of her. She turned out to be a genuine 100% Bitch.
I just noticed that it seems Blueblood is a good guy in this. Got to say that he being a good guy, or at the very least a neutral party, is refreshing. Wonder what the skinny between Blue and Spike is, they're pretty informal enough that they pal around with each other.
EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if Blueblood is the one out of all the group that is the one that gets Spike his new special someone. Really cool with what he's probably gonna be doing for his cousin.

You know what's funny?
I know a story where Spike nearly killed someone for talking to his girlfriend. And the readers where eating it up. Saying how great a boyfriend Spike was and how kind it was that he only nearly killed the other guy. This approach here is much more realistic.

At this point I'm guessing at least one of the Mane 6's coltfriends did it. This seems to be another story where all the Mane 6 have coltfriends, the coltfriends severely hate Spike, stuff happens and they eventually leave their coldfriends to get with Spike.
Watch a few movies and play a few card games? That has to be the shit shittiest slumber party I've heard of. I'd have more fun jamming a fork into a plugged in toaster, shoving a paperclip into an electrical outlet or playing Russian Roulette with myself, they're acting like Spike is 5 years old. I'd rather have the adult slumber party.

It does seem to be that way, but that's too obvious to me--I can get some jealousy from the coltfriends because of the doting that all the females are on Spike, but they have to look at this from the mares' perspective--Spike is like a collective litter brother to all of them. He grew up with them, and in a way he was raised a bit by them (make no mistake though, I'm pretty sure Celestia and Luna did the most raising) Even when each of the Mane 6 found their own special somepony, whether they be stallion or mare None of the colts can say that they intimately know Spike the way Twilight knows him or Rarity knows him, or any of the others for that matter. Hell, even Blueblood and Shining Armor know more than the coltfriends because to Blueblood and Shining, those are honorable brothers to Spike.. That only comes from interaction. There's gonna be some time while Spike is recovering and they are gonna do their part up to the point that Spike is well again.
If they have hate for Spike because their girlfriends at the moment are doting on Spike, they need to take a look at themselves. Why in the hell are you so jealous anyway??? You have one of the most beautiful and popular mares in all of Equestria on your side; if anything, other stallions are probably envious of your standing, not the other way around.

It's like Celestia said previously when Spike was having some of that hard cider, and she wasn't having it--even if he was getting legal officially in a few hours, he's still underage until then. Therefore, he wasn't gonna get any.
And yes, I can see where you're coming from with the whole slumber party thing. Two things though: 1/ Spike's still underage, and 2/ It's a slumber party, where we know all the good kinky shit happens when all the adults are alone and all the boys are out of the way. Plus, considering that their respective supply of penis is somewhere else, not to mention Twilight and Pinkie are there (take a wild guess where I'm going with that), we know that it would probably degenerate into Mane 6 orgy. When that happens, it's a relief that Spike's not there to see it.
I know that it sucks as well--I know how filthy and in-the-gutter that my mind can be when it gets to 'intimate' matters...
