Interesting story! I find it rather intriguing that Celestia had a hoof in Zesty's origin story.

Wow, that was quick.

And this explains a lot...

The Galloping Gourmet , should of been in it... Julia Childs...Chief Boy R D :rainbowlaugh:

I always like stories that show the influence Celestia has on others, especially when they're younger.

Screwuplestia strikes again

“Um, that the Pink One is always right?”

"My friends don't like me and don't want to be my friends anymore!"

disgusting flowers that tasted worse than actual flowers if you ate them.

Except these ponies put daisies on their sandwiches.

Interesting, adds some personality to an episode I sincerely hated (mostly for turning Rarity into a strawmare). Though Zesty said the reason she liked it was because it the flavor had subtlety rather than 'loud' flavors. From her point of view, it was like prefer actors to show not tell, instead of holding up neon signs reading "BE SAD AT THIS PART!" "BE HAPPY AT THIS PART!" Of course with everyone agreeing with her, of course she'd get a swelled head.

7296636 I know what you mean about Rarity. Something seemed a little odd.
You'd think she'd appreciate the importance of being unique what with her own business.
And yet here her approach seemed downright Sassy Saddlesish, follow trends for the sake of success. The complete antithesis of everything she's about!
But in the end I'm not mad about it. Rarity always was so delightfully contradictory! :raritywink:
And I don't just want to say "Rarity would never do that!" because honestly I don't know that for sure, maybe she would?

She's been shown to place to much weight on celebrities and Canterlot society before, so it's safe to assume she genuinely believed Zesty's way was the right way at first, it is after all, all too easy to simply follow a critic's standards because they're supposed to know what they're talking about!
Perhaps she didn't make the connection between the restaurant and her own business and so pushed a purely business perspective without realizing how important style and variety is in a restaurant.
So I reckon this episode ended up being rather a learning curve for her.

I was working on my own fanfic regarding Zesty's life after the Royal Review. It got lost.

Isn’t it “staple” and not “stable”?
