No good can come of this.

Well that was interesting, CMC as knight is something but see as it are foals it ain't going to happen.

"And that's how Equestria was un-made."

7110348 Your right. But a brutal and amazing coming of age story about the girls learning not everything goes well and not everyone survives intact, mix in some a lot of gore and you got yourself a story for days.

Nice little story. Really liked it.
Poor Rarity. She never know what hit her...:raritydespair:

“Well, ah think the Elements of Harmony’d make much better knights, is all.

Hey applejack you wanna watch the sodium levels there cause it sounds like you're salty with LARGE helping of BUTTHURT.:trollestia: This is such a funny little troll on AJ fic.

“Well, ah think the Elements of Harmony’d make much better knights, is all.”

Well, you're right about that Applejack, but I'm afraid that ship has sailed. You chose a life of honest work over the call of adventure, so I'm afraid them's the breaks. The worst part? You actually didn't have to give up the former to have the latter; you could have used your reward money to bankroll skilled ponies into handling the orchard while you were gone, left Big Mac in charge, had a life of high adventure and then retired back to Sweet Apple Acres whenever you decided you were done. Oh well, enjoy your apples and a lifetime of making ends meet!

Being a touch mean here, but one thing that has always bugged me about Applejack is her smug, self-righteous belief that her way is best. It's actually good to see her question her life decisions, as that means she's actually thinking things through, rather than just accepting them as they are, which has always been a problem of hers I feel.

When I first read this, I thought you said Granny Smith was a filly when Luna founded the knights, and I was like, "Dang! Talk about a theory taken to the extreme!"

You make better Princesses. Lord knows you make enough problems.

Funny, I'd think Starlight would take notice of how similar the CMCs' Cutie Marks are, as a nod to her old ways.

Is she jelly?

The first among equals.

From The Apple Farm, a novel By Stralight Orwell

It could be anyone. Princess Celestia, or me even, or maybe Princess Luna, or Twilight, or me, or Mayor Mare, or me, or me and—

Someone want to be a crusader I think!

She's totally jelly.

You ever get the sense that a work of fiction (tv show, fanfiction, movie, anything) only exists because the author thought of a single clever pun or joke and wanted to write an entire story about it?

I'm getting that sense right now

I mean, I still thought it was hilarious but lol this was all for that last line wasn't it

“Well, it ain’t uncommon.” Applejack said dismissively. “Just look at mah own Cutie Mark. It’s got apples in it. So does Big Mac’s and Granny Smith and every other Apple in the family tree!” She paused, then added darkly, “’cept for Cousin Tomato that is.”

Well, Granny Smith's is a pie. An apple pie no doubt, but still a Pie. And then there's Aunt and Uncle Orange, Hayseed Turnip Truck, Sunflower Seed and I think that there's no in the toyline with cinnamon sticks as their Cutie Mark? Looks like you need to go over your family tree again, Applejack.

I don't get it, but I kinda like it anyway. :) Seriously, why's Starlight so hung up on knights? c.c

7229244
Well I think maybe because she'd identify with a group dedicated to equality and justice for all, that's all. Also, Starlight's the closest thing Equestria has to a warrior besides Daring Do, what with her ability to create magic shields and cast spells at will. It's my dream to see her going toe-to-toe with a pack of timberwolves.

Also, knights are cool. Glad you liked it!

“Knights,” Starlight repeated. “Maybe you don’t know about them. It is ancient history, of course.

Simultaneously the most interesting and most frustrating facet of Starlight's character is her cultural ignorance.

Huh. That's a really fascinating way of looking at her. Glad you wrote this. :)

Starlight, you might be more right with that than you believe. :rainbowderp:

That's an amazing theory about the meaning of their cutie marks! I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's really going to be the case.
That magical outburst that happened when they got their cutie marks already shows that something epic is awaiting them.

7229371 ooooooo that's kinda a hoof in the face to Shining Armor :rainbowlaugh: but I get what your saying poor dude hasn't a chance to shine in combat like Starlight

It is kind of weird that this fic so ignores Shining Armor (As in "Knight in...) who has a shield encasing the symbol for the element of magic as his Cutie Mark and his own suit of armor and all...

Still, the CMC off to cause mayhem is always amusing!
