that was fun. Was the book GF (kind of obvious who that's supposed to be) took one of the ones Spike marked out? Something tells me she's somewhat more trouble than she's worth and also possibly a bad filly(ish)? Also, nice hypno session for Blissful Trance and Sweetie, though with Dinky having been hypnotised before, how come she didn't remember it and Sweetie did (albeit vaguely)?
Also, are you basing the shadow realm off somewhere in particular, like the world you get in Lotr when Frodo puts on Sauron's ring? It's a lot of questions, I know...
Finally, the next bit, is it going to be like a D&D adventure-esque bit? That would be SO COOL!!!!

Okay... This just slammed a ton of worldbuilding, that I was not expecting, with levels of spells, and so many different kinds of spellcraft, which was a bit too sudden for me, as the previous chapter didn't clue me in that so much is different from base MLP: FiM.
Perhaps I should have read the prequel before reading this.
Also, there a few typos not just these ones, and a few instances of double spacing between words...
