I like the second rendition better. Unlike the previous version with Fluttershy, this version with the cmc gives you a better idea of how the rest of equestria might react to Myotis Neo.

The world is HUGE! I'd like to have a story where the mc isn't confined in a little town where if you weren't a pony, you were a monster. Never mind the fact that he looked injured, skinny and was a head smaller than the shortest made. He's just a monster that needs to be thrown back into a monster infested forest and be done with it.
From what I can see, he'd be better off looking elsewhere, maybe with a theseral colony down in hollow shades? They'd accept him, he's practically one of them!
What I'm saying is that I hope this story expands from the typical mane six centered types that flood the site.
He's got wings for Oum's sake! He can go anywhere he wants, let the winds of freedom take him to better lands. As soon as he explains thing leaving out the whole Agent of Chaos thing.
Let him cause chaos elsewhere! When the mane six find out how much they screwed up their chance to make a great friend, THAT will be the most Delicious type of chaos...
