I could totally see Celestia having these nightmares. Weather naturally, or under Nightmare Moon's influence. In my continuity, she nearly went insane, more than once, the thousand years alone. That's Molestia and Tyrantlestia are -- altermate Celestias who cracked under the pressure of solitary rule. Alicorn need peers to help keep them sane.
