A pity we didnt see much of Shining Armor and his thoughts during the events between NMM and Celestia. Maybe in the next chapter.

Lovely but like in the first chapter, Shining Armor is just a tool rather then a character in the story. Not even a useful tool really it seems heh.

Celestia still faced her vanity. Her head was bowed again, her face hidden in her mane. A teardrop splashed against the wood in front of the mirror. Her voice only hinted at the cracks in her composure, “Within Nightmare Moon's grasp is my sister. You will not harm her with violence. I would sooner have you impale me than her.” her voice shook. “I was forced to slay her a thousand years ago, and her soul, as mine will when I die, went to her astral body. Only now will she finally regain the strength to return.”

“I know.” Celestia's voice suddenly hardened with determination, and her wings flared. Her eyes became solid white, her mane turning to fire as her body shone like the sun, blinding her sister and guard. Her shroud and wreath had vanished. She didn't move her lips, yet her voice echoed off the mountains as rolling thunder, “REMEMBER.”
