On the other side of the ocean, lies a long forgotten land. Quietly, they watched the other lands, biding their time. When the time is right, they will reveal themselves. On one hand is an olive branch. On the other, is a sword.

Hell is coming over the horizon and it's riding on wheels of steel!
Don't get me wrong. I like slave uprising stories like this. But this story seems very rushed.
7645643 That's why I try making the chapters longer.
After reading parts of this chapter I hope humanity gets a pyruvic victory out of the whole deal. The Emperor seems nice but his backstabbing nobles will be the death of everyone.
7645679 The Nobility wasn't intended to be like this when created by his ancestors. Just like all nobility classes in history, they started off as people who earned the title through their contributions to their nation, but it is their descendants that take their contributions for granted and abuse their powers. The French Nobility is a perfect example.
7645685 When there's the Yamato, there will be explosions.
7645752
Nice Furious 7 reference.
I really look forward to when the emperor goes to the meeting of nations and puts celestia in her place. I love moments like that.
7645760 I'm glad someone got that, but that's not the only reference in this chapter. You can start with the quote in the beginning, it's not much about the quote itself however.
7645762 Yeah, moments like those are always satisfying.
7645764 Now I see it, Dodd Rancit, a reference to the officer of the Naval Intelligence Agency of the Galactic Empire, later executed by Lord Vader for treason.
And apparently Heinrich Steiner was a German painter.
7645764 By the way, something else caught my eye.
That pickaxe. Not sure if it's a reference to something, but it reminded me of that big Russian guy from Vorkuta (Black Ops), Sergei Kozin
vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/callofduty/images/1/1d/Sergei-Pickaxe.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20101112105910
Which brings me to my next topic. How about a chapter from a rebelling slave's point of view? It's just an idea, and it is possible considering prisoners will always outnumber the guards. It could be a little history as to how the human rebel organization in Equestria came to be. They were originally prisoners in a mass human labor camp. After rioting, they escape the labor camp and move to the Everfree. Afterwards, they meet other humans such as Agent Deckard Shaw sent to create an insurgency force.
7645787 You got Rancit, there's one other Imperial Officer however. He should've been well known and is one of the first ever introduced. Heinrich Steiner wasn't meant to be a reference to anything, while his character isn't like him, I thought of Friderich Steiner from Call of Duty Black Ops when I came up with his name.
7645788 Wow, I was not expecting that. Yes, Savage is based off of Sergei. Just like what he did to that Soviet Guard in Vorkuta, I planned to do the same thing for Savage and Trixie, but I thought otherwise. Might as well save something like that for later. Trixie doesn't deserve that kind of death. As for your idea, it's interesting. I may add it as part of the Legionnaires' adventures in Equestria.
7645868 Not really
I normally love Human rebellion fics, but these guys are actually starting to look worse than the Equestrians. Sure, the Equestrians enslaved the Humans, but the Humans plan to fight back involves the deaths of civilians. They straight up murdered Trixie, for absolutely no reason at all. Hell, Deckard admitted to killing an entire group of Diamond Dogs, including the children! For those of us who are pro-human, sorry, but I hope the Equestrians kick their asses!
Just an idle thought. Where are the nuclear weapons? I would assume they have some. Seems strange, since our modern world is practically relient in the nuclear research before and during the Second World War. Seems strange we have heard none of it.
No, I am not suggesting you use Nuclear Weapons. I'm just asking. Great story :D
I look forward to more awesome chapters!!!
7646265 So you would allow the Diamond Dogs to escape and risk them telling the Equestrians where they are hiding?
Topkek
These Humans grew up learning that the Equestrians are evil and want nothing but enslave them. Human colonists landed in the same continent as Equestria and the Equestrians responded by attacking them, and enslaving those they captured. You're going to tell me that they have to be merciful, especially after the Equestrians enslaving them?
If you were in the American Deep South pre-Civil War and you saw slave owners mistreating their slaves, making them work until they pass out and whipping them for the smallest mistake, hell even cut off the fingers of those that can fucking read, you're going to show them mercy? Are you going to show mercy to people who worked for King Leopold II that cut off the limbs of natives in the Congo?
Should I also mention that I haven't even shown everything yet, especially how slaves are treated in Equestria?
7646265 While I am not completely for an Equistrian victory, I was still unnerved by these guys killing civilians without a thought. It just does not seem right, even the whole razing of Ponyville just to get attention seems off.
7646434 I wouldn't go killing their children, not unless the children themselves were an active threat (child soldiers for example), but even then it would be with a heavy heart. And to just up and randomly murder a Pony, how would this make me better than them?
7646441 Glad to see I'm not the only one. Personally, if I wanted to get attention, I'd attack a military installation, or attack slave caravans and slave markets.
7646441
7646442 My intention was to make the Legionnaires ruthless. While the Imperial Guards are seen as protectors, the Legionnaires are seen as Death Squads. While attacking military installations will gain attention, capturing a princess will bring even more attention. The Equestrians would send their best to rescue her and that's one of the Legionnaires objectives, to know the capabilities of the Equestrian Military first-hand. As for the Diamond Dogs, one cannot be too careful.
The fact so many of your readers are saying your "heroes" are just as ruthless cruel and sick as the people they hate should make it clear you did something wrong, I have no sympathy for their position given they're heartless murderers.
7646548 Thing is, the Legionnaires are meant to be that way. They're ruthless, brutal, and do everything they can to achieve their objectives, which is why they're not thought of highly by the Empire's civilian population.
7646577 Sounds like the makings of a potential civil war in the empire. Also, can't hear the term "Death Squad" without thinking about things like Nazis. Just putting that out there for the record.
7646577
If both sides are 100% pure bag of dicks, I have no sympathy for either of their positions, and want both of them to suffer. I'm not a fan of asshole protagonists.
Is this a Call of Duty crossover?
-Chessie
7647278 No
-Sp00ky Demolitions
Noice chapter I enjoyed it very well though I must ask you Sk00ky Demolitions were do you get the legionaries from in this fanfic?
P.S. when do you think the next chapter will be up?
7648158 When I was thinking of a name, I thought of the French Foreign Legion and the Legionnaires who were a mercenary group from the video game Battlefield: Bad Company.
As for the next chapter, probably in the next few weeks depending on my schedule.
FINALLY!
Let's give Equestria a little taste in the concept of lighting warfare and that might makes a whole lot of holes in the enemy. But...until the next chapter,

After reading this chapter, the story is giving me a vox populi (from the game bioshock infinite) feeling. The vox populi is the group of people that are treated like crap (essentially slaves) in the city, who are fighting for their freedom from their essential slave masters. The player feels for them and wants them to win. The game progresses and you realize that the vox populi are a bunch of extremist bloodthirsty lunatics that you end up fighting as well. I feel for the humans in this story but as the story progressed, it becomes clear that the majority (of all the characters we have been introduced to) are extremist lunatics who will stop at nothing to essentially commit genocide against the species that has done them wrong. I get that many ponies in this story are demon spawn but they throw every single pony into that barrel (even the ones who have outright opposed slavery). Once someone starts the justification of the total extermination (even kids) of entire settlements of people who have nothing to do with the conflict for the mere purpose of "thats a good spot, i want that", then the main characters are not the good guys (and making difficult to root for them). This story is essentially the battle of who are the biggest dicks. I would say that this story gets the saying of "the road to hell is filled with good intentions" but one would first need good intentions to begin with. I've come this far, might as well see how the rest of this story goes.
7650208 I made a blog yesterday and said that the rest of the Imperial Military are not like the Legionnaires. The Legionnaires are meant to be ruthless and brutal, they are basically the darker side of the military while the Imperial Guards are seen in the light. Even the Imperial citizens do not see them in a good light after stories of their brutality against the Insurrection. Think of them as the dark, unlikeable character, but the protagonist needs them to achieve their objective. Of course, the Legionnaires are not just ruthless murderers as I will show their "Human" side in a later chapter. This is how the Imperial citizens see them.
Legionnaires=Death Squads
Imperial Guards=Protectors
Unknown Spec Ops=Classified until reveal
poor trixie.
7650382 It's a case of wrong place, wrong time.
7653564 Well I haven't shown everything yet have I? I've already decided to make a chapter to show the more Human side of the Legionnaires later on. Gonna show many of them relaxing or doing whatever they want when they're in between missions. As for the slavers, well you'll have to see.
Lol u should have put this in.
7669307 I'd rather not, too obvious and I don't like having videos in fics unless they're for songs. This doesn't count.
When is the next chapter coming out?
7733516 I work on it whenever I'm not busy.
College Life
Enough said
Must read. When new chapter comes. Beep boop. But for now, imma go home go bed.
Hoodini
I already cant wait for the next chapter
I just see one problem with the Legionaries' discourse, first they say that they dont care about the killing of innocents basically profililing all ponies as ruthless slavers, then they say sparing Flurry Heart is a Must because children do not bear the sins of their ancestors.

I hope that Motti fellow doesn't piss off the wrong person or that guy will make him choke on his own aspirations or because he lacked faith.
Storm Fortress? I see we have a fellow AC: Rogue fan!

Badass ship with a badass name
Those ponies may have magic, a massive military, and literal gods, but we have one thing they don’t... THUMBS!!!
Damn Vietcongs.
I would advise to put your authors note in the description of the story because most judgemental people just read the description and dislike
