Spells ? No, I asked about reasoning. Suddenly ruler changes gender and everyone is "well, ok. I don't see it". Because Dusk is literally one person who somehow reacts to that. And coming back to reasoning - it isn't stated why suddenly Prince become princess with a crush. Long time same gender love? And why she/he changed it now? Like, really - is she was hiding her real gender and wanted to appear normal to her sister?
Because I'm lost with it. And story just glossed over that and went on its merry way.
