In the war against King Sombra and The Crystal Empire, there have been a great many ponies who have earned the title of hero. Some have shown toughness and a relentless spirit. One such hero is Rainbow Dash. Not even the loss of her wing or her best friend could stop her from fighting for Celestia and Equestria.
But how far is she willing to go? How much is one pony willing to sacrifice if it means an end to the war?

Honestly, I think is fitting that Sombra is defeated in that way, Rainbow Dash is the hero of the war in all the fanfics that are starting to appear and her Sonic Rainboom is the one of the few thing that can destroy Sombra.
This story could have used some more... words. Yeah it defintely could have been longer. Let the direness of the situation sink in. let the reader and rainbow get familiar with the new wing. Show that in all the chaos of the war the only shining bright moment is that little orange pegasus. How she made her happy no matter how much blood and gore had she had to go through that day. Stuff like that. Otherwise, great story idea with a less than satisfactory execution.
