Usually, romantic slice of life just isn't my cup of tea. I'm glad I gave this story a shot, though. It was a wonderful little slice of life. Well done!

On the whole, it needs a bit of polishing, but it's harmless.

If you think Cynewulf is the only person who writes like that, you're missing out on a lot.

6442974 you would like Cold in Gardez, Hoof-ful of Dust, and HoofBitingActionOverload I think.

6443763 I quite agree! Also I enjoy your username

Y'know, I'm not normally big on R63 stories. Not so much because if it's two stallions I go "Ew, gay", but more because a lot of fics written in that umbrella just don't feel like the characters themselves. Or they go out of their way to try to write season 1 again, just with stallions.

This was very refreshing. Dusk felt like he was Twilight in more than just R63 counterpart nature alone, the narrative flowed well, and Butterscotch's awkwardness wasn't forced. Very nicely done.

A wonderful little piece here. :)

I think my favorite part of this is the way the characters aren't just the mares from the show but with SPOILERS between their legs, They actually seem like masculine personalities that still display all of the same traits. It's really interesting how you pulled that off. I think it's mostly the playful guy-ish humor between them.

"Cute little story and although I'm not in here it still good. A couple of foxy mommies could of help the story a little bit though."

A wonderful little story. I do wish it were more than a one-shot though.

Pretty neat. I like the POV, even though some paragraphs feel a bit choppy. Also, there are a bunch of typos, so some closer proofreading would be an idea (or at the very least using spellcheck - "His friend seemed to sieze up for a moment", really?).

But yeah, it was sweet, and quite relaxing. Like a good thunderstorm.

He thought about a cup of tea on a stormy day, and he thought of feathers against his coat as he leaned back on the couch and turned a page--he had thought of such things before.

This is my favorite line.

Nicely introspective and slow. Odd with the gender swap though, hard to "hear" the right voices.

That was pretty cute, and it was nice seeing someone in a story come out with their crush rather than the story teasing it forever.

I did a reading of your story for Pride Month this year! :D I love this story! https://youtu.be/Xdd5f69yiZQ

These two are too sweet. Great characterisation, and I love the way their awkwardness balances each other.
