(((-1-))) This is what I wish George R. R. Martin would do. It's an epic on many levels, from the deeply personal struggles to the world-shattering breakdown of reality. Fantasy adventure, beautiful prose, interweaving of various plot lines, what more could I ask for? (((-2-))) The characters are brilliant and brilliantly written, the prose has me giggling out loud at times, the world is detailed just right, and the pacing is damn-near perfect. Everything comes together and resolves exactly as it should. (((-3-))) This is the fic that got me into ponyfiction years ago. It's reminiscent of an old myth or legend. The prose is beautiful, the details intriguing. (((-4-))) If you've played Homeworld, read this. Just do it. If you haven't played Homeworld, go play it and then read this. This is to sci fi what Night is to fantasy. I love how Horizon Runner has woven in little trivial details from the game's lore and made them the subject of whole chapters, putting characters behind the scenes and showing you their deeply emotional personal struggles.

I picked the name years ago and can't really remember why. I don't really think about modes when I play/write music anymore, but even when I was a huge theory nerd, I didn't use mixolydian any more than the others. Except locrian, but every mode gets used more than locrian. :P

Unfortunately that story's been in the churn for quite a long time, I'll make no excuses about it. If you'd rather I give you some other suggestions for things that are about the same and that I am actually working on/have finished, please don't hesitate to ask. I know this sounds weird, but I'd feel guilty if I 'wasted your time' in any way.
