This is a guilty pleasure, I admit. All the same I hope it has a satisfying conclusion, what entertainment is there (beyond our sick fetish) in having our beloved characters get into trouble with no way out?

The athletic AJ and RD are the most hurt by the Stuffer. Applejack's set her identity on being dependable for her family and friends, how dependable can she be if she starts breathing heavy just walking around the room.
Dash is even worse off, as illustrated; she IS the fastest Pegasus alive, becoming an immobile mass is going to weigh (hehe, pun
) on her more than most.
I can see a couple of the mane six accepting a fatter them, but that doesn't mean they just give up. Pinkies the obvious choice for not having a problem with this,
Twi is more concerned with her mind than her body, so she might only find bulking up annoying (or pull an L, "I require a high sugar diet to maintain my keen analytic mind."
Fluttershy will be more concerned for the others than herself, but I think she takes a lot of pride in her natural beauty and might flutterrage if a viable target presents itself.
The mystery coupled with the decent writing has gotten me really curious as to where this is going, I hope their is some more to this than shameless chub fetish. Not to demand you change your story if it is, I'm along for the ride, even if I'm not a fan of morbidly obese immobile ponies.

Hmmm, I wonder if THEY grabbed all six but only wanted to get the most threatening out of the way. Twilight, RD and Pinky are the biggest threats to a magical attack, and most targeted it seems by the fattening up. Other than larger portions for the (in my headcanon at least) biggest of the group AJ, Rarity and Flutts seem to be secondary targets. Which is disappointing because Rarity is my favorite chubby pony, between her stress eating and drama habits. An entertaining combination, this store needs more marshmallow!
Could this be a plot to cause a famine in Equestria? It hasn't really been explained if THEY are using magic to make everypony bulk up or if it induces extreme fugue overeating and a drastically speeds weight gain. The second seems the most likely (and interesting), if THEY could just fatten everything why go through all this trouble? And would it damage the Equestrian economy, since earth ponies are probably the best farmers around and export outside their borders?
Anyway, suddenly ravishingly hungry ponies eat all their crops. Then they are in the the unfortunate predicament of being at once obese and starving. Which I think was Famines plan in Good Omens before the books plot happened.

Huh, we have a sudden infux of questions: THEY put everyone to sleep to pave the way for this plan, hpw did no one notice? Or was that a figurative sleep of ignorance? Is it the whole planet or just Equestria effected? The voice seems to be a pony, but are his bosses? Not to mention access to massive amounts of magic to counteract non alicorn Twi and the Princesses.
Updates seem to be picking up which is great. Is the story nearing the described conclusion? Or is this the beginning of a Chubbyverse? Where the main 6 need to resist their force-feeding overlords, using magic to lose weight after getting fattened back and forth? Wishful thinking on my part, looking forward to the next part. I don't like seeing them all so sad, but this is a good chapter. I cant say I wasn't expecting this type of story.
Happy to see this updating, I know the pains of balancing college and... well anything else. I used to run a western themed tabletop rpg with some friends but now I just don't have time.
I think you updated this chapter with last chapter in front of it. Maybe you did that on purpose to get over a word limit. But if so you should delete the last chaper so it doesn't confuse new readers.
I'm curious if we're nearing the end or if you plan to continue once they are released. So few chubby stories last for long.
I'm also a little disappointed we didn't check in on the "progress" the others had made while bedridden. We've been a little light on descriptions.
Also, what's an estimate on how big they are? With people I think it's about the 600 - 700 pound range you can't move. Is that true with your ponies as well?
I hope it doesn't end on a big downer, I've always been of the mindset that it's no fun to watch someone just lose with no chance to succeed, even striving and failing has its drama. But nevertheless do what you want, it's your story man.
I just found this story and so far its became one of my favorite clop-fic about weight gain (top five at least for me) but please keep the story going. Good luck with school I know it can be difficult juggling school and hobbies like writing

Yes, overthinking MLP fanfics has payed off, now I just need to figure out a way to profit.
What am I talking about, this is payment enough. So it looks like we do get to dig into the mystery of why, cool. I had though maybe a distant relative of Discord that gained power the more ponies... well, gained. But then why hire a morphophilic mercenary mage and why release the Mane 6? Showing up in person is gutsy too, though with the degradation of the Royal Guard maybe it's not so risky.
I have the feeling that a new game is to be played now that they are out. Can't wait to see.

This was a good chapter. Short but got to the point and set up for the next chapter. Do wish we got to see a few things. One when the mane six was realesed and who was last to loose their mobility so they could be free. Second some reactions of the ponies in Ponyville and got to see the state of the town. Third even (but this is just really a personal one) the size of luna and how big shes gotten. Last is the sizes of the mane six, yes they are immobile but some have been more immobile than the others and would be bigger but we haven't gotten much description of them. Liked can Rainbow even still move her hooves any more and has to rely on someone to feed her. Than if Twilight and Rarity how big they gotten and how reliant are they on magic. But I Know this could be explain in chapters. I look forward for more of this story and excited to see what going to happen.

Please don't let the villain loose by Deus Ex Machina or something similar. Takes all the fun out of it and can ruin the story for some.

I did like the change of pace in the story and to see how the towns been effected. Also how the main six how they are after returning home. But this does make me wonder if they are going to still be gaining weight or if the reached a plateau with their weight gain.

Yes, but at the same time they shouldn't win by default, our feeder and his employers are amazingly powerful already, with everyone powerless against them. I'm a big believer in a struggle being a necessary part of drama, even in for-fun projects like this. Though I won't demand any sort of outcome, I like being surprised and not knowing what's going on.
It's interesting to me analyzing what's going on and the motive of the antagonists, whether informed by corporate greed, targeted anger, or alien mindsets. I wonder if this phenomenon is limited to the pony tribes, Equestria, allied countries or every sentient thing in this world.
On a smaller scale, looks like the mane 6 are taking their newly ingrained massive appetite's differently, Twi seems to recognize a problem, but Rarity seems to have given up her old figure happily at this point. We'll have to see where things are going, I wonder what we'll see next.
