Anonsi

Hi. I'm Anonsi. The name is a mix of Anon & Anansi the Spider if you're wondering. I thought it was clever. I don't get out much.

E

The Mineral Springs Campgrounds. They have long been considered by pony kind to be a natural wonder that evokes feelings of awe, beauty, tranquility, and the faint taste of salt in one's mouth. But for three fillies, this charming spring evokes another feeling all together...TERROR!
IT CAME FROM BEYOND THE STARS, TO DO...uh...STUFF!
NO PONY KNOWS WHAT IT IS! NOT EVEN ME!
Prepare for a (kinda) THRILLING tale that will leave you QUAKING with FEAR! (It won't.)
Can you face the HORROR that is...THE SLUG-MAN OF MINERAL SPRINGS?! (Yeah, you can.)

I think this description is better than the actual story.

In place of an update to the main story I'm working on, I'm posting this fic that I did for a Halloween challenge.

Slug... 'Man'? What is this 'Man' of which you speak?

Well, according to Celestia's library of made up facts, "A Man pokemon is a Normal type pokemon that is always some kind of bipedal species and has at least two other types. A man-type creature gains the all resistances and weaknesses of its two other types, but is restricted to normal type moves."

If this story is even half as funny as that comment I know it will be awesome.

Prepare to be disappointed. This story is at best, utterly horrible. I only wrote it because the other fic I was writing for the competition was dragging on too long and I needed something to post.

I liked it, it was a lot like an old B scifi movie and the CMC are always a delight.

pfft! hah!

you're a terrible pony, anonsi.

what really happened?

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

OH MAH GAWD APPLEBLOOM'S AN ALE-EE-IIN!!1111

You want the truth?! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
You'll just have to make due knowing that the truth is out there...
...probably in hammer space.

Well, it is weekend and the usual fanfic-drought has crept in, while everyone including me is getting drunk, so I scan through my favourite writer's profiles for stuff that might have flown under the radar before.
I found this, was intruiged by the premise and read it with the same slightly drunk awe I enjoy those 80s Horror B-movies with. Very nice, maye too rushed out at the end, but that may be a side effect of pushing out a horror story quickly to a deadline.

Now get back to TCB: Yellowstone!
