The tenses keep changing, but overall a sweet story! It's nice when an author lets the reader decide for his/herself how the exact ending plays out. That fluff though!

My first reaction to the title: "Heeeeey, that sounds familiar." Then:
Oh my god! Haha, I couldn't stop grinning. This was pretty darn cute.
I will say something to explain this further would've been nice. Even if it's mentioned in the comments, ehhh, I'd like my say, heh. The fusion itself could be understood just fine; but how it works in this universe and if it's been done before would be some recommended background. Unlike Steven Universe, where it's been seen before "Alone Together," this is possibly the first time they've seen or heard this. So it brings up a few questions: has this happened before? Does this sort of magic differ from everyone else? And can anyone do it, if their love is strong enough? I get why you chose this idea - Alone Together is one of my favorite episodes - but since this universe is different from that, there are things that should be clarified.
I do like the sound of the design, though. It doesn't just sound like a mix-match of Fluttershy and Discord, but something different. A few colors other than white could've added a bit of inconsistency to Fluttercord--better to match Discord--but that's all I can think of.

I like to think that no couple has ever done this before and it's only for Fluttershy and Discord due to not only their strong bond but their magical abilities. I mean, we're combining the magic of the Lord of Chaos and The Element of Kindness. They have the potential of performing a great spell together and something no pony has ever done before. The magic they're using for this is love magic, and like love in the real world, it comes in different forms. So Shining Armor/Cadence love spells will be different from Fluttershy's and Discord's along with every other couple because each relationship is different. Each creature has a different kind/amount of magic and it depends on how the couple feels. For Fluttershy and Discord, they felt so close and in sync and happy with one another that they just naturally...well...fuse with one another. Every couple in love magic expresses their relationship differently, there's no set standard. For Fluttershy and Discord, they express their love by becoming one and creating a harmony with each other. Sorry if I didn't explain this better in the story.
Yay! Glad that you liked her design because I'm quite proud of it myself:) I made her all white to represent the purity and innocence of their love. But yeah, she could have used a bit more color.

6030365 Oh no, it's fine. I got what was needed to be known from the story, thankfully (as this isn't meant to be a world-building thing and that's okay, lol). On the contrary, the story itself is perfectly fine. I enjoyed it as a cute little shipfic. I simply think that that could totally be an interesting story idea in itself, so I couldn't help but be curious. After all, love has been shown to be a powerful weapon, so just imagine the Lord of Chaos and an Element in love! But of course, this story isn't about just that idea, so it's no biggie.

This is so cute! A fusion, named Fluttercord! First story like this, also It's just so simple. One thing though, when they talk back and forth, I found it a bit confusing, but the giggles helped me.
