5979604 There are good displaced fics though, but like Fallout: Equestria there are a bunch a bad ones. personally I enjoy the displaced, sometimes they make good stories in my opinion, but other times I ask why they even bothered. All in all I don't think they're that bad.

And yet its a small group that gets focused and yet if everyone ignored it it would juts be doing its own thing. Its things like this that MAKE people either hate it for no reason or purposefully try to piss off people. Just ignore it, is it really that hard. Its not like when this first started and there was a displaced fic in the top box every day. I will not say they are always good fics (cause they aren't most of the time) But I will defend their right to exist without hate.
Love and tolerance in a fandom like this shouldn't be rare.

5979683 I am unsure if you think I hate displaced. To be clear, I don't. It's honestly hard for me to hate a fic. I was just simply parodying the various similarities between the displaced fics. (Foul language, Celestia is the main antagonist, the person using their powers to mess around, etc...)
Hell, I have my own displaced fic. I was just finding it funny how much Displaced there is now, especially recently, seems to be a new one every day.

Holding up Love and Tolerate as a philosophy kind of asks that you love and tolerate the things that you find difficult to love and tolerate--exactly as you're asking now of others. Yeah, this pretty much perfectly shows the maturity and characterization of 99% of displaced fics. The only thing they're missing in this story is about a million more pointless and idiotic meme references.
You are, of course, forgetting how characterization and in-characterness falls apart the closer the displaced characters are to any of the ponies (especially Celestia and Luna).

No, what we dislike is the execution. Honestly, I think the premise is pretty decent, but for some reason most of the authors of displaced fics just have trouble with including good descriptions, characterization, and interesting protagonists. I for one don't dislike displaced fics because they are displaced fics; I dislike displaced fics because most of them are just subpar.

Well, that was like reading the first chapter of thirty sincere Displaced story. I swear, teenagers can make good protagonists, but jackasses that have trouble with authority and do what they want is not that.
I also find Displaced fics annoying.
It's possible for there to be good ones (with good enough writing, nearly any premise can make a good story), but I've yet to see any I would consider good. Part of the problem is that this particular premise lends itself so easily to Self-insert/Wish Fulfillment/Mary Sues/etc.
