Well... This is something I'd meant to establish in another story, but this one got written first. Basically, Canterlot in this universe started out as a mining town in the side of a large mountain, in a cave exposed to the outside. Later on, it started getting built up, and at the time of the story, is built out of 16 platforms made out of steel and anchored to the mountain by massive chains, with each platform being its own district. Platform 5 is "living space", but has become a slum. The one below that is Platform 4, which is all industrial.

I've got maps of all of these, but I suck at drawing and need to scan them.

tl;dr Canterlot's built out of 16 city-platforms, but that knowledge isn't required to enjoy the story!

Only real criticism is that Gjinka's accent is written really thickly - it makes it near impossible to understand. Maybe just tone it down a teensy tiny little bit, people will still get the jist if only one or two sounds get changed instead of all of them.

Ahhhh... That might be a little tricky to do. I mostly use an online Jägerspeak translator to get it like that, with a few touch-ups. Do any sentences really stand out in particular?

It makes sense to me now since I've already read through and deciphered it, but it took me a fair bit to do so when I was reading it and kind of drew the flow of the story, at least to me, to a grinding halt.

Came for the clop (in more ways than one), and stayed for the story. I liked how you didn't leave it at the first chapter, where we wouldn't know if she'd gotten home or how she would be able to pay her bills and such. Certainly a nice resolution to that. And the very short, sweet hint of actual romance at the end. (Actual as in not purchased, but from the heart.) That was really nice.
