This story is a sequel to My Name is Harmonic

Say... Remember how I used to say that the story "My Name is Harmonic"* that I thought I had as far as I could with the story and I have no idea how to take it further? Well as it turns out that an idea hit me over the head and suddenly I'm writing this sequel to the story.

So anyway, the story starts off four years after the end of the story. On Prince Harmonic's birthday, the prince decided to at last pop the question to his consort, Color Spectrum. What follows is the life and times of these two along with the challenges that they will be facing.

Warning: This story is M/M shipping. Now I promise that there will be no clop in it. But if you're not into stories like this, you know where the exit buttons are. (P.S. The reason why the sex tag is on this thing is because there will be some little innuendos but nothing more. I put this on to be safe in the near future.)

* Author's note: It is highly recommended on my part that before you get into this story, read the previous story, it will make a whole lot more sense.

Music in the 4th Movement is "The Lullaby of the Bells" from the 1943 film, Phantom of the Opera. And Vitali - Chaconne [violin solo version] by Stepan Grytsay

A huge thank you to PrinceCelestia for the artwork for this fic. As well as a huge thank you to SoleReclaimer for editing.

Dat setup for the adoption doe

Is the bit about writing taken from experience? Not the whole thing, but the general idea.

5080887 Curiosity. Also the things you mentioned seem to be similar to your writing. Excellent dialogue, some grammar mistakes, and I did notice some parts of the story that read like you made a note to yourself on what should go "here" and never got around to writing...

What I'm trying (poorly) to say is, would you like me to go and edit your finished story in this continuity?

Bleh, I suck at talking to people.

5080956 vwihehehehehe. Editing shouldn't take that long. :3

I will try my best not to change anything too much. If that means doing multiple takes of problem spots, so be it.

Oh wow, that was me with foot in mouth syndrome. I should have mentioned how rare it is for a story to draw me in with the type of errors that yours has... Although I'm not noticing any of that type in this story.

Sentences like "they go downstairs for breakfast" that both have a disruption in flow, and are in the wrong tense.

Also, rules I can live with. I suppose I meant "not long by my standards" seeing as the "errors" are fairly obvious, and the fact that I help edit 10000 word chapters, although that's during the writing process.

This is a good start, the whole, "both lovers ask for their hand (hoof) in marriage at the same time"? Well played!

Also, I found a typo,

“Simple. We tell her to keep her shout as far away from our privet lives as possible and never give so much as a suggestion to them. Subtle or otherwise.”

Isn't it supposed to be "snout"?

Can't wait to see the rest!

Before I say anything, I found something that was wrong. There are a bunch of typos in the chapters, but I'll worry about them later.

Script’s eyes opened up and his ears stood straight up, “Hey Script, what if I can get to meet my Aunt Twilight?”

“REALLY!?” Script caught herself becoming too excited. Clearing her throat, she reinstated: “Really, you would do that?”

Something is up with this. I thought Script was a guy.

And now my thoughts, this was very heartwarming and heart-wrenching at the same time, and I really enjoyed it all the same. I say great work. :pinkiesad2:

Nooooo why. Why did color have to die

to rise to fall, to rise and to fall
and once more rise an fall
that is to live
that is to dream
that is to be

you have conveyed and I have listened

5507189 At last! Someone has finally gotten the title.

Oh god that last part was hilarious:rainbowlaugh:

5754122 ElementsOfVariousStuff, I have a confession to make. Writing that scene, and the other one (you'll know in the next story) was some of the hardest things that I've ever written, period. Of course, I knew by the title I gave, Symphony of Life, that I knew that death was a part of life. But at the same time, I almost didn't want to. I almost didn't want to ax such a nice guy like that. And I think I understand, Color was so real to me that when I wrote about it, I couldn't help but feel guilty for days.

P.S. Thank you, and I promise, Harmonic will, after all of this, he'll have a happy ending.

This brought tears to my eyes... I'm sorry Prince Colour Spectrum Everfree, my condolences. It is truly painful to watch someone close to anyone die. :fluttercry: :raritydespair: :applecry:

R.I.P Prince Colour Spectrum

Very well written, looking forward to reading more.

Ya for Script!!!!! He got his cutie mark!!!!! :twilightsheepish:

The title makes me think of

I cried, I'm still crying as I write this, when Color died. I understand his pain. When he passed, it's like part of his soul went with Color. I cry cause he will never see him again except in his memories. If I was him, I would be crying for days on end out of sorrow. 😢😢😢 a true legend passed, a loving husband, father and friend. May he rest in peace, I just know that he's watching Harmonic from heaven, sad that he can't comfort his love in his time of pain. My heart goes to Harmonic, if I could, I would hug him and never let go till he truly felt happy again. :( this story so far has been a masterpiece, so much soul and emotion have been put into this tale and I would read it again to my children and grandchildren to share it with others. Crackedinkwell, this is truly a masterpiece and I pray that you'll never stop making amazing tales like this.
